Good Company

“But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.” Mark 13:32 (NKJV)

While listening to the local “Christian” radio station I heard, “We’re in good company when we say we don’t know.”  [Biblically] speaking, I agree with the speaker. 

I [believe in] accept what the [Biblical] Jesus accomplished in the first century, thus I am saved according to the [Scriptures], if you are too, “we’re in good company.”  My role is to tell others that by [believing in] this same Jesus, who according to [Mark 13:32] doesn’t know all things, they’ll never have to doubt their salvation.  When I say “the [Biblical] Jesus” I am not referring to anything to do with the Anthanasian Creed.

You’re “in good company,” if you agree with Jesus not knowing all things.  Jesus Himself, “nor the Son,” admits to not knowing “that day and hour.”

Those believing the Anthanasian Creeds “the Son is God,” when gathered together in the same place would say, “We’re in good company.”

The question isn’t what “company” we keep, but instead does the [Bible] really teach that the [Biblical] Jesus and the Anthanasian Creeds “the Son is God” are one and the same?

Jesus said to her, “Do not cling to Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father; but go to My brethren and say to them, ‘I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.’” John 20:17 (NKJV)

Anytime the one believing the Anthanasian Creed, speaks highly of it, it’ll conflict with Jesus’ teachings.

Don’t lose any sleep over it, because when the Son of God, “Jesus,” “ascended to” “My God” His God, the all-knowing God of the [Bible], it settled the matter.  Jesus is not all-knowing and like us does not know “that day and hour” when He will return.  Being in “good company” will not get you saved.  Trust [Scripture] alone.

Faithfully And Firmly

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort.” 2 Corinthians 1:3 (NKJV)

In the name of He who shall stand and feed His flock in the strength of the Lord, in the majesty of the name of the Lord His God, Messiah Yeshua “Jesus,” greetings.  See Micah 5:4 (NKJV)

Recently, on the local “Christian” radio station I heard “The gospel is trinitarian in origin and shape.”

In the not so distant past I heard a different person say, in their attempt to defend the doctrine of the trinity, “When someone tells me the word trinity isn’t in the bible I say neither is the word bible.”  At the time I treated this as just another one of the “silly” things tied to the Anthanasian Creed, so I left it at that.  It wasn’t until I heard “The gospel is trinitarian in origin and shape,” did I remember it.

How does one come to make these two statements?  They [believe in] accept things added onto what Jesus accomplished in the first century, in this case the Anthanasian Creed.  The Anthanasian Creed and the doctrine of the trinity, go hand in hand.

“This is the catholic (Christian) faith; which except you believe faithfully and firmly, you cannot be saved.”  - The last sentence of the Anthanasian Creed.

It [only] takes the last sentence of the Anthanasian Creed to prove that the Anthanasian Creed as a whole, adds onto what Jesus accomplished in the first century.  What the Anthanasian Creed is asking you to “faithfully and firmly” believe is not part of God’s simple salvation message.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”  John 3:16 (NKJV)

This is the gospel message, “that whoever believes in” Jesus “should not perish but have everlasting life.”  That is all God is asking you to “faithfully and firmly” believe, and that is all we need.

Where is The Biblical Jesus in All This?

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ.” Ephesians 1:3 (NKJV)

In the name of He who when being asked “Are You then the Son of God” answered “You rightly say that I am,” Messiah Yeshua “Jesus,” greetings.  See Luke 22:70 (NKJV)

 “Our Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God.”

After reading these words, what/whom would you say I was quoting?  If you said the [Bible] or a follower of Jesus Christ, then I would agree with you.  “Our Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God,” is the cry of those believing Jesus Christ is the Son of God, which is to say saved according to the [Scriptures].

How about if I told you that the document I found “Our Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God” in, leaves one asking the question, where’s the [Biblical] Jesus in all this?  Would you be willing to accept the evidence of it being so?  I would.

“Furthermore, it is necessary to everlasting salvation that he also believe faithfully the incarnation of our Lord Jesus Christ. For the right faith is, that we believe and confess that our Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is God and Man.” –The Anthanasian Creed.

The [Bible] gives every reason to believe, the Anthanasian Creed adds onto what Jesus accomplished in the first century.  As you can see, I was [actually] quoting from the Anthanasian Creed.  

I’m not looking to find fault or lay blame here, but there’s a lot of people trusting the Anthanasian Creed.  To trust the Anthanasian Creed’s way of salvation, is a mistake.  I can say this, because there’s no evidence in the [Bible] of anyone having to believe the Anthanasian Creed and thus the doctrine of the trinity, to be saved.

“This is the catholic (Christian) faith; which except you believe faithfully and firmly, you cannot be saved.”  - Last sentence of the Anthanasian Creed.

Someone, not mentioned in the [Bible], took the [Biblical] truth of “Our Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God,” and [added] the words “is God and Man.”  This took the [Biblical] Jesus to a whole new level, the world of man and imagination.  

Only in the Anthanasian Creed will you find that one “cannot be saved,” unless they believe “Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is God and Man.”  

If this is not the Anthanasian Creed saying [Biblical] truths don’t matter, I don’t know what does.  It leaves one asking the question where the [Biblical] Jesus in all this is.

If you are looking for where the [Biblical] Jesus is, look no further than the [Bible] and you will find the truth.

“And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” John 8:32 (NKJV)

Maybe Now is The Time

In the precious and beautiful name of Messiah Yeshua “Jesus,” greetings.

“This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Hear Him!” Matthew 17:5 (NKJV)

Then they said to Him, “What shall we do, that we may work the works of God?” Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent.” John 6:28-29 (NKJV)

While listening to the local “Christian” radio station I heard, “Are you listening to God?”  That’s an easy one, was my first thought after hearing it, an easy question to answer that is. 

The all-knowing God of the [Bible] wants us to “Hear” His “beloved Son,” Jesus, who said “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom” God “sent,” Jesus.  So the evidence of one “listening to God,” is them believing “in Him whom” God “sent,” Jesus.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”  John 3:16 (NKJV)

“Whoever believes” “in Him whom” God “sent,” Jesus, “should not perish but have everlasting life.”  If you [believe in] accept this same Jesus, God’s “beloved Son,” you’re saved according to the [Scriptures].

“Are you listening to” the all-knowing God of the [Bible]?  I am.

If you’ve yet to [believe in] accept Jesus, maybe now is the time to start listening to the all-knowing God of the [Bible].

Strictly According to The Scriptures

Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?  1 John 5:5 (NKJV)

In the name of Him who was given all authority in heaven and on earth, Messiah Yeshua “Jesus,” greetings. See Matthew 28:18 (NKJV)

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”  John 3:16 (NKJV)

If your desire is to become a teacher of the [Bible], do so with the confidence that your message will be strictly according to the [Scriptures].  The Anthanasian Creeds way, adding onto what Jesus accomplished in the first century, is not the path you want to take.  God’s plan of salvation points us to [believing in] accepting what Jesus accomplished in the first century.  This is the only way of salvation, that “Whoever believes in” the [Biblical] Jesus “should not perish but have everlasting life.”

“So the Father is God, the Son is God, and the Holy Ghost is God. And yet they are not three Gods, but one God.” –The Anthanasian Creed. 

“And in this Trinity none is before or after other; none is greater or less than another; But the whole persons are coeternal together, and coequal:” –The Anthanasian Creed

“This is the catholic (Christian) faith; which except you believe faithfully and firmly, you cannot be saved.”  - Last sentence of the Anthanasian Creed.

If you [believe in] accept, unless you believe the doctrine of the trinity “you cannot be saved,” as the Anthanasian Creeds says, you should stay clear of the [Bible] because the [Bible] is clear, all you need to be saved is to [believe in] accept Jesus. 

Why anyone would believe the Anthanasian Creed has anything to do with the salvation of one’s soul, is beyond belief.

It is my obligation to tell you, as one who loves Jesus, stay clear of the Anthanasian Creed. There is a proper way to teach the Anthanasian Creed.  You must teach that the Anthanasian Creeds way to salvation is [absolutely] false, and not in line with God’s plan of salvation.

If becoming a member of a local church requires that one must believe the teachings of said church, make sure the Anthanasian Creed isn’t being taught as sound doctrine.  Jesus’ teachings are all you need.  In this case the words Jesus spoke in John 3:16 alone, should settle the matter.

Leave The Anthanasian Creed

Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. Hebrews 4:14 (NKJV)

While listening to the local “Christian” radio station I heard, “Where the bible leaves off teaching I leave off learning.”

I don’t know about you but if this doesn’t say it all, I don’t know what does.  It tells us to not add to or subtract from what has been clearly laid out for us in the [Bible].  This is the mark of one having been saved by grace.  The speaker on the radio gave no reason to believe, otherwise. 

Adding to and/or subtracting from anything, is to make changes to it.  History shows that change led us to make things like toothpaste, automobiles and a host of other inventions available to us today.    

When it comes to God’s plan of salvation however, it’s available for all to see in the [Bible], change is not good.  Leaving God’s plan of salvation well enough alone, is [exactly] what it commands us to do.

You wouldn’t give a second thought to adding to and/or subtracting from God’s plan of salvation, if you [truly] accept it as the only way to salvation.  I [truly] accept that it is, thus keeping me from having to learn anything about the Anthanasian Creed.  I’ve known for quite some time that the Anthanasian Creed is the high priest of all false doctrines, because it [truly] adds onto what Jesus accomplished in the first century.

Be Merciful To Me A Sinner

“That you may with one mind and with one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Romans 15:6 (NKJV)

In the name of Him who makes us kings and priests to His God and Father, Messiah Yeshua “Jesus,” greetings.  See Revelation 1:6 (NKJV)

Also He spoke this parable to some who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others: “Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, ‘God, I thank You that I am not like other men—extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this tax collector. I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all that I possess.’ And the tax collector, standing afar off, would not so much as raise his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me a sinner!’ I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts themselves will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.” Luke 18:9-14 (NKJV)

I heard something recently on television that [immediately] brought “this parable” to my mind, specifically the part where “Two men went up to the temple to pray.”  There’s no need to mention what I heard here but the fact that it caused me to call someone “a Pharisee” however, is worth mentioning.  Don’t let your mind wander to far here.  Just prior to my calling the speaker on television “a Pharisee,” I was the one taking my eyes off Jesus.  I have no idea where the one I called “a Pharisee” stands with, Jesus.

The Anthanasian Creed doesn’t fit the [Biblical] narrative.  Its having to believe [or else] the doctrine of the trinity to be saved, false method of salvation, has [absolutely] everything to do with man’s desire to add onto what Jesus accomplished in the first century.  The time to stop selling the Anthanasian Creed as sound doctrine, has passed its time.

There was a time when I looked at followers of the Anthanasian Creed, as people who are willing to believe anything.  I can’t remember the [exact] moment it occurred but the moment I realized (by the grace of God) that by believing such a thing, I took my eyes off Jesus.  A “God, be merciful to me a sinner,” moment.  From that moment on I entered a time of repentance.  I had been found judging their belief in the Anthanasian Creed while not looking at the one thing that mattered.  Are they saved?   

Could the follower of the Anthanasian Creed be saved?  “Yes,” if they [believe in] accept what Jesus accomplished in the first century, they are saved according to the [Scriptures].

As one who loves Jesus, and who rejects all things adding to and/or subtracting from what Jesus accomplished in the first century, I say “God, be merciful to me a sinner” moments and “he who humbles himself” before God, go hand in hand.

It is time for us to refocus our eyes on Jesus and to stop judging others for their beliefs that have no bearing on their salvation.  Luke 18:9-14, shows the [Bible] really does point us in the right direction.

A Period of Adding Things Onto God's Plan of Salvation

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.” 1 Peter 1:3 (NKJV)

In the name of He who said ‘I am ascending to My God and Your God,’ Messiah Yeshua “Jesus,” greetings.  See John 20:17 (NKJV)

While listening to the local “Christian” radio station I heard, “Let us pay careful attention to what we heard so that we don’t drift away.”  The speaker on the radio was speaking about people who no longer go to church and, encouraged the listening audience to not “drift away” like them.  The speaker however has drifted away from [Biblical] truths, as so many others believing the same have done. 

Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?” John 14:9 (NKJV)

The speaker believes “He who has seen Me has seen the Father” in John 14:9, is evidence of Jesus claiming to be God in the [Bible].

“Not that anyone has seen the Father, except He who is from God; He has seen the Father.” John 6:46 (NKJV)

No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us.  1 John 4:12 (NKJV)

The [Bible] makes it clear that “No one has seen God at any time” in 1 John 4:12 and “Not that anyone has seen the Father” in John 6:46.

“You have heard Me say to you, ‘I am going away and coming back to you.’ If you loved Me, you would rejoice because I said, ‘I am going to the Father,’ for My Father is greater than I.” John 14:28 (NKJV).   

As you can see that by paying careful attention to these verses of [Scripture], Jesus isn’t claiming to be God in John 14:9.  In John 14, and verse 28, it shows us “My Father,” Jesus’ Father, “is greater than” Jesus.  In believing that Jesus is God, the speaker [really] did “drifted away” from these [Biblical] truths.

The Anthanasian Creed marks a period of adding things onto God’s plan of salvation.  It’s responsible for a number of false teachings and for, many drifting away from [Biblical] truths.  Adding onto what Jesus accomplished in the first century go hand in hand with, promoting the Anthanasian Creed as believable.”

Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when He had found him, He said to him, “Do you believe in the Son of God?” He answered and said; “Who is He, Lord, that I may believe in Him?” And Jesus said to him, “You have both seen Him and it is He who is talking with you.” John 9:35-37 (NKJV)

Jesus said to her, “Do not cling to Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father; but go to My brethren and say to them, ‘I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.’” John 20:17 (NKJV)

When Jesus speaks of “the Father,” He’s referring to “My God” His God and “My Father,” His Father.  As to who He is, “The Son of God,” “You have both seen Him and it is He who is talking with you.”

There is absolutely nothing to gain by saying Jesus claimed to be “God” in John 14:9.

Why people do wrong things, does not justify them.  It’s true.  Only a fool, would believe everything they hear.  The [Bible] however is 100% believable, as is.

Then Comes The End

Then comes the end, when He delivers the kingdom to God the Father, when He puts an end to all rule and all authority and power. For He must reign till He has put all enemies under His feet. The last enemy that will be destroyed is death. For “He has put all things under His feet.” But when He says “All things are put under Him,” it is evident that He who put all things under Him is excepted. Now when all things are made subject to Him, then the Son Himself will also be subject to Him who put all things under Him, that God may be all in all.  1 Corinthians 15:24-28 (NKJV)

“Then comes the end, when” Jesus “delivers the kingdom to God the Father,” “then the Son Himself,” Jesus, “will also be subject to Him who put all things under” Jesus, “God the Father,” “that God may be all in all.”

Not Complicated or Confusing

“Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all long-suffering and teaching. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.” 2 Timothy 4:2-5 (NKJV)

If you’re going to “Preach the word,” make sure it’s in the word.  For example, the words “the Son is God” are in the Anthanasian Creed but are not in the [Bible].  Imagine if the Anthanasian Creed did not exist at all and there was no reason to give “the Son is God,” a second thought.  It wouldn’t be complicated or confusing.  Jesus would be just as the [Bible] says He is, the Son of God.

In order to make “the Son is God” believable, one would have to be convinced of it being so [converted] by those not mentioned in the [Bible].  I’m not talking about having to believe “the Son is God” to become a member of a local church believing “the Son is God” here.  I’m talking about what one would have to believe to be saved according to the [Scriptures], “Preach the word!”

The [Bible] doesn’t tell us to believe everything we hear, “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine.”

Would you say the person confessing Jesus is the Son of God, the Lord and the Savior of their life, saved according to the [Scriptures], and rejects the Anthanasian Creed altogether, is saved?

By saying “rejects the Anthanasian Creed altogether” I mean, treat the Anthanasian Creed as if it never existed at all.  As one who loves Jesus, and who’s not ashamed to tell others about Him, I say “the person” is saved.

Don’t let your mind wander to far here, because Jesus Himself settles the matter for us.  “Jesus said to him, “You have both seen Him and it is He who is talking with you.”  Jesus is, “the Son of God.”  

Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God.  1 John 4:15 (NKJV)

There’s one explanation, as to why someone would say “the person” is not saved.  They’ve been falsely led to believe something that was never mentioned in the [Bible].  They have been led to believe unless one believes the doctrine of the trinity, one cannot be saved.

If you’re going to “Preach the word,” make sure it’s in the word.

Unplug The Anthanasian Creed

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ.” Ephesians 1:3 (NKJV)

In the name of Him who did not come to destroy but to fulfill, Messiah Yeshua “Jesus,” greetings. See Matthew 5:17-18 (NKJV)

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”  John 3:16 (NKJV)

Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?  1 John 5:5 (NKJV)

These verses should make it clear that the Anthanasian Creed is a false doctrine and, never should have made its way into the twenty first century.

“Whoever believes” “that Jesus is the Son of God” is saved, and thus “should not perish but have everlasting life.”

If you believe “that Jesus is the Son of God” then unplug the Anthanasian Creed from your mind for just a moment.   Are you, or are you not, saved according to the [Scriptures]?  Here’s the good news, for those of us believing “Jesus is the Son of God,” we’re saved according to the [Scriptures]. 

The bad news is the Anthanasian Creed has replaced “Whoever believes” “that Jesus is the Son of God” is saved with, unless one believes the doctrine of the trinity one cannot be saved.

The moment we take our eyes off Jesus we open ourselves up to believe anything.  In these uncertain times, keep your eyes on Jesus.

Jesus’ death on the cross, paved the way for all peoples of the world to become “born again,” that is saved according to the [Scriptures].  “Whoever believes in” Jesus, is he/she who is “born again.”

If you deleted everything from the [Bible] pertaining to [the] day of Jesus’ death, only God knows what we’d be saying about Jesus today.

Jesus said to her, “Do not cling to Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father; but go to My brethren and say to them, ‘I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.’” John 20:17 (NKJV)

While listening to the local “Christian” radio station I heard, “The God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob is the Father of Jesus.”  I agree with this individual, because Jesus Himself said “I am ascending to My Father.”  The God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob, is the all-knowing God of the [Bible]. 

What the [Bible] has to say about Jesus, including prophesies fulfilled and yet to be fulfilled by Him, Jesus’ second coming and all His teachings, far surpasses what others have falsely said about Him.

In a world where the coronavirus is prevalent, there is hope.

Now after the Sabbath, as the first day of the week began to dawn, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the tomb. And behold, there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat on it. His countenance was like lightning, and his clothing as white as snow. And the guards shook for fear of him, and became like dead men.

But the angel answered and said to the women, “Don’t be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here; for He is risen, as He said. Come see the place where the Lord lay. And go quickly and tell His disciples that He is risen from the dead, and indeed. He is going before you into Galilee; there you will see Him. Behold, I have told you. You can trust Jesus and what He accomplished in the first century, are more than sufficient enough to save your soul.  Jesus “is risen from the dead, and indeed.”

“Whoever believes in” Jesus “should not perish but have everlasting life.”

Thank You Jesus

In the name of Him who gave Himself a ransom for all, Messiah Yeshua “Jesus,” greetings. See 1 Timothy 2:6 (NKJV)

Jesus answered him, “The first of all the commandments is: ‘Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one.  And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’  This is the first commandment.  And the second, like it, is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’  There is no other commandment greater than these.”  So the scribe said to Him, “Well said, Teacher, You have spoken the truth, for there is one God, and there is no other but He.”  Mark 12:29-32 (NKJV)

The God of the [Bible] knows, hears, and sees, all things.  He’s not confined to a time, or place.  His plan of salvation is available for all to see, in the [Bible].  It’s centered on believing in the Son of God, Messiah Yeshua “Jesus,” to be saved.  As one who loves Jesus I take these things seriously, as do I the coronavirus.

It doesn’t matter who’s saying what or whether it agrees with [Scripture] or not, the all-knowing God of the [Bible] is well aware of what is taking place around us.

There are those using the coronavirus as a tool to further their own [political] agendas while providing no [direct] help to the [shocking] conditions we’re faced with today.  They do this while at the same time speaking highly of Jesus.  Here’s a friendly reminder taken directly from the [Bible], “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”

As in every crisis this country has faced and will face in the future, there are Americans who step up to be on the front lines.  There are so many people willing to face the coronavirus head on, for the sake of saving others.  We see [overwhelming] evidence of it being so every day.  From those having the expertise to face the coronavirus directly to those supporting them with their own [special] skills, from hospitals to grocery stores and beyond, from one country to the next, I say thank you.  God bless each and every one of you.

To the families and friends of those having lost loved ones during this time, our hearts go out to you.  You are not alone and you’re in our prayers.  God bless.

This is just one of the many ways for my wife [Susan] and I to say, thank you to Jesus, for dying on that cross two thousand years ago today.

The Best is Still Yet to Come

“That you may with one mind and with one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Romans 15:6 (NKJV)

In the name of He who shall stand and feed His flock in the strength of the Lord, in the majesty of the name of the Lord His God, Messiah Yeshua “Jesus,” greetings.  See Micah 5:4 (NKJV)

Jesus said to her, “Do not cling to Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father; but go to My brethren and say to them, ‘I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.’” John 20:17 (NKJV)

And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, “Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?” that is, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?” Matthew 27:46 (NKJV)

Jesus was nailed to the cross, forsaken by many in the first century, as He “cried out with a loud voice, saying, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?”  Instead of directing this question towards those who had forsaken Him then, Jesus asked “My God,” His God, “Why have You forsaken Me?”

This coming Sunday is Passover, “Easter,” when the emphasis is on remembering Jesus’ death burial and resurrection.  The coronavirus may have changed the way we live our lives’ today and will definitely change the way we celebrate it this year but nothing can undo what Jesus did for us two thousand years ago.  This holds true for believers and nonbelievers alike.     

Believers in Jesus, understand why Jesus had to die the way that He did, for they are equipped with the assurance that in Jesus the best is still yet to come. 

To them I say, from one forgiven sinner to another, point people to Jesus.  Believers should never lose heart, because the best is still yet to come for them.

Nonbelievers, need to know the best is still yet to come for them as well.  It is on them whether they choose to [believe] accept the evidence of it being so, as laid out for us in the [Bible], but they need to be given the salvation message.  Believers, don’t forsake the nonbeliever.

In the end it all comes down to whoever [believes in] accepts what Jesus accomplished in the first century is saved.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”  John 3:16 (NKJV)

But God demonstrates His own love towards us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.  Romans 5:8 (NKJV)

Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God.  1 John 4:15 (NKJV)

The question becomes how does one truly know the truth as to why Jesus had to die the way that He did.  We only have to look to the [Bible] which tells us that “while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”  I know this to be true.  I am trusting the [Bible] with the care of my salvation, for it shows me these truths.

“Whoever believes in” Jesus “should not perish but have everlasting life.”  I believe, and confess “that Jesus is the Son of God.” 

If you are a believer or not, make time to read the [Bible] for yourself, and immerse yourself in Jesus Christ.  It’s an amazing vehicle that delivers all that Jesus accomplished in the first century.

The coronavirus can’t help but change us.  As for me, I want to be more passionate, loving, and kind towards others, and I will be praying daily towards that end.  One thing that will never change about me though as I will never be ashamed to tell others about Jesus.

Be well, and be safe.  Most importantly, [believe] know that in Jesus the best is yet to come.

Helping Fellow Humans in Need

Grace, mercy, and truth will be with you from God the Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love. 2 John 3 (NKJV)

“I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.” John 15:5 (NKJV)

True followers of Messiah Yeshua “Jesus,” are always in the process of learning the difference between good and evil.  We’re saved according to the [Scriptures] and nothing can take this away from us.  Our day to day living comes with its challenges one of which is how to treat others during the coronavirus crisis. 

Jesus said “for without Me you can do nothing,” to those “who abide in” Him, “and” He “in” them, that is those [believing in] accepting what Jesus accomplished in the first century.  

As one who loves Jesus, it is my obligation to tell you, we wouldn’t know what’s best [good], pleasing to the all-knowing God of the [Bible], if not for Jesus showing us the way in the first century.

I know two individuals, whose names will remain anonymous, both believers in the [Biblical] Jesus.  I’ll call one person Rose, the other Johnathan.  Rose loves to sew, Johnathan has a heart for the homeless.

As the world battles the coronavirus, they do what they are good at, what they are called to do.  Rose had a stockpile of material, of which was made into [face] masks for hospital workers and, elderly people in nearby homes.  Johnathan carried a number of gift cards to local restaurants, knowing there’s a good chance of encountering hungry homeless people.  They are simply helping fellow human beings in need.

The question becomes, which side of the conversation you would want to be found on.  Some, knowing Rose and Johnathan are believers in Jesus Christ, will make assumptions about their motives or criteria.  They may be apprehensive or speak out against them.  This is the difference between good and evil.

Stay well, and stay safe.  Most importantly, [believe in] accept what Jesus accomplished in the first century.

Timeless

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ.” Ephesians 1:3 (NKJV)

In the name of the Son of the living God, Messiah Yeshua “Jesus,” greetings. See John 6:69 (NKJV)

As I listened to the local “Christian” radio station a certain individual said, “I never wanted to time stamp my ministry.”

The word of God as given to us in the [Bible] is timeless.  However, if you’re saying unless one believes the doctrine of the trinity they cannot be saved, you have time stamped your message.  This message can only be traced back to the birth of Anthanasian Creed, in 325-AD.  If the intent of a message is to lift up the Anthanasian Creed, give credit where credit is due, the network of man’s understanding of the [Scriptures]. 

Any attempt to link the Anthanasian Creed to that which Jesus accomplished in the first century, only adds onto what Jesus accomplished in the first century.  It implies that Jesus’ death burial and resurrection missed the mark, and thus wasn’t enough.

The King of The Jews

“We give thanks to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you.” Colossians 1:3 (NKJV)

In the name of Him who did not come to destroy but to fulfill, Messiah Yeshua “Jesus,” greetings. See Matthew 5:17-18 (NKJV)

Then Pilate entered the Praetorium again, called Jesus, and said to Him, “Are You the King of the Jews?” Jesus answered him, “Are you speaking for yourself about this, or did others tell you this concerning Me?” Pilate answered, “Am I a Jew?” Your own nation and the chief priests have delivered You to me. What have You done?” John 18:33-35 (NKJV)

Now Pilate wrote a title and put it on the cross. And the writing was:

JESUS OF NAZARETH, THE KING OF THE JEWS.

Then many of the Jews read this title, for the place where Jesus was crucified was near the city; and it was written in Hebrew, Greek, and Latin. John 19:19-20 (NKJV)

“Pilate” “said to” Jesus, “Are You the King of the Jews?”  Jesus answered him, “Are you speaking for yourself about this, or did others tell you this concerning Me?”  It wasn’t until after this encounter with Jesus that “Pilate wrote,” Correctly so I might add, “JESUS OF NAZARETH, THE KING OF THE JEWS.”

The [Bible} doesn’t tell us what led Pilate to write this about Jesus, let alone “put it on the cross.”  I like to think that, Jesus saying “Are you speaking for yourself about this, or did others tell you this concerning Me,” had everything to do with it.  The words “Or did others tell you this concerning Me” opened my eyes as to, who or what I am believing, especially when it comes to the [Bible]. 

By the grace of God I know, that everything I need to know about Jesus, is in the [Bible].  I give thanks to God for all things that agree with Jesus’ teachings, as laid out for us in the [Bible].

“Are you speaking for yourself about this, or did others tell you this concerning Me?”

I hope this keeps you from straying from the [Bible], when speaking of or having to answer questions about, Jesus.

From Then to Now

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort.” 2 Corinthians 1:3 (NKJV)

In the only name given among men by which we must be saved, Messiah Yeshua “Jesus,” greetings.  See Acts 4:12 (NKJV)

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”  John 3:16 (NKJV)

From Jesus’ mouth in the first century, to John 3:16 being available for all to see in the [Bible] today, “Whoever believes in” Jesus will be saved.

God’s plan of salvation, it’s a beautiful thing.

The Notion

What/who would you say is the source of what I’m calling the notion, ‘unless one believes the doctrine of the trinity one cannot be saved?’

Followers of the Anthanasian Creed are not the source of this notion, and neither am I.

“You are My friends if you do whatever I command you.  No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you.” John 15:14-15 (NKJV)

You can’t tie this “notion” to the [Bible].  It shows us that Jesus said “all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you.”  There’s no mentioning of anyone having to believe the doctrine of the trinity to be saved in His teachings.

When Jesus speaks of “My Father,” His Father, He’s speaking of “My God,” His God.  This is available for all to see in the [Bible], unlike this “notion.”

We know the answer to this, unlike the many unanswerable questions to the coronavirus, such as when will it be safe to get back to a state of “normalcy.”  There’s only one [correct] answer to the question of the source of this “notion.”  The Anthanasian Creed itself, is the source.  The Anthanasian Creed and “the notion,” go hand in hand.

“The notion,” has absolutely nothing to do with God’s plan of salvation.

Do You Understand What You Are Reading?

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.” 1 Peter 1:3 (NKJV)

In the name of He who when being asked “Are You then the Son of God” answered “You rightly say that I am,” Messiah Yeshua “Jesus,” greetings.  See Luke 22:70 (NKJV)

Before reading on, I ask that you take the time to read Acts 8:26-40.  It gives us an encounter between Philip and a man of Ethiopia.  The encounter took place in the desert somewhere between Jerusalem and Gaza.  I use the New King James Version of the [Bible]. 

Finished reading Acts 8:26-40?  As you read, Philip was told by an angel of the Lord to arise and go south, and he went.  He, was told by the Spirit to “Go near and overtake this chariot,” and he did.  Philip, heard the Ethiopian man, who had just left Jerusalem where he went to worship and is now returning. Philip found him sitting in his chariot and reading the book of Isaiah.  Philip asked him “Do you understand what you are reading?”

The Ethiopian answers, “How can I, unless someone guides me” and invites Philip to sit with him and then asked Philip, “Of whom does the prophet say this, of himself or some other man?”

Then Philip opened his mouth, and begins at this Scripture, preached Jesus to him. Now as they came down the road, they came to some water. And the eunuch (Ethiopian) said, “See, here is water. What hinders me from being baptized?” Then Philip said, “If you believe with all your heart, you may.” And he answered and said, “I believe that Jesus is the Son of God.”  Acts 8:35-37

The Ethiopian man was saved the moment he “answered and said, “I believe that Jesus is the Son of God.”  The Anthanasian Creed has yet to make its way to the drawing board at this time, because it wasn’t birthed until 325-AD.  Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God (1 John 4:15).

Let’s fast forward to the twenty first century where unlike those who lived in 325-AD, the common person has access to the [Bible].  It wouldn’t be hard to find someone knowing something about Jesus, that does not agree with the [Scriptures]. 

I’m not surprised by the way people treat the [Bible].  In a world bent on silencing [Biblical] truths, contrasted with supporting the Anthanasian Creeds additions to them.  I’m certainly not happy with the way some people mistreat Jesus’ teachings, but even I know His teachings tell us we’re all going to be guilty of doing it, at one time or another.

This is why [believing in] accepting what Jesus accomplished in the first century, that is to be saved according to the [Scriptures], is the safest place to be.  With Jesus our sins have been forgiven, the kingdom of God our final [eternal] resting place.  A place where the cares of this world and things like the coronavirus, are left behind.

“Then Philip” “preached Jesus to him.”  Now is not the time to stray from what has been clearly laid out for us the [Bible], especially Jesus’ teachings.  When an opportunity presents itself, that is to tell someone what they really need to know, “Preach Jesus to” them.  Philip’s encounter with the Ethiopian man in the first century sets the stage for us today, as to why we’re to trust the word of God, especially what Jesus accomplished in the first century.

I know that just as the [Bible] is more than sufficient enough as is, and the coronavirus isn’t something to take lightly.  I’m heeding the expert’s advice (White House task force), but I’m not depended upon them for my salvation.  The coronavirus has changed my daily activities but not my faith in Jesus Christ.  Even if everything related to the coronavirus was predictable, my daily routine would change, but my focus on Jesus would forever remain the same. 

I will continue trusting the all-knowing God of the [Bible].  I will treat others with respect that is keep proper distance when walking our dog, picking up items at the store or getting local take-out.  I know there’ll be plenty of opportunities to tell others about Jesus, even with having to be six feet away from one another or whatever that distance ends up being.

Stay well, and stay safe.  Most importantly, [believe in] accept what Jesus accomplished in the first century.

Be Like Jesus

For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. Romans 8:13 (NKJV)

As I listened to the local “Christian” radio station I heard, “People that reinforce what I believe, that’s who I want to be around.”  That does not sound like what Jesus did.  Who’s to say what one believes, agrees with [Scripture].

What if what you believe does not agree with Scripture?  Nothing says it’s all about me, more, than wanting to be around people that reinforce what you believe. 

On the other hand, if you surround yourself with like-minded people that completely agree with [Scripture], what good does that do for the rest of the world that needs to hear the message of Jesus Christ.  It wouldn’t be [Biblical] to continue wanting to solely be around those who reinforce what you believe.

Giving the [Bible] the final say will have us whole heartedly [believing in] accepting what Jesus accomplished in the first century, and most importantly, will have us fixated on those who have yet to do so.  Be like Jesus.
