Where Does That Leave You?
Jesus said to her, “Do not cling to Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father; but go to My brethren and say to them, ‘I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.’” John 20:17 (NKJV)
In what way would Jesus’ God and Father and Jesus’ brethren’s God and Father, not be one and the same? With Jesus saying “I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God” in John 20:17, there is no way. When you give thought to what Jesus accomplished in the first century, as laid out for us in the Scriptures, then it makes perfect sense to depend on this same Jesus for your salvation.
According to the Anthanasian Creeds, unless one believes “the Son is God” one “cannot be saved” false method of salvation, Jesus couldn’t have ascended to His God, and Father.
It is Biblically impossible for the Anthanasian Creeds “the Son is God” and the Son of God “Jesus” to be one and the same. If you get Jesus wrong, where does that leave you?
