“Blessed be
the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every
spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ.” Apostle Saul (who is also
called Paul), Ephesians 1:3 (NKJV)
In the precious and beautiful
name of Messiah Yeshua “Jesus,” greetings.
While
listening to the local “Christian” radio station I heard a pastor say, “We must
believe in the God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob and the God and Father of our
Lord Jesus Christ.”
After hearing this my first thought was this pastor is a
follower of the Anthanasian Creed, and thus believes there are three Gods not
being three Gods but one. Now this
pastor is saying there are two different “Gods”.
I could give the specifics of this pastor’s sermon, leading
up to him saying such a thing, but does it [really] matter. What he had to say is self-explanatory. He’s admitting to not knowing the God of
Abraham Isaac and Jacob [and] the Lord Jesus Christ, [is] one and the same. I also thought about those believing the same
as this pastor, hearing him saying “We must believe in… the God and Father of
our Lord Jesus Christ”.
“And this
is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus
Christ whom You have sent.” John 17:3 (NKJV)
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
the Father of mercies and God of all comfort,” Apostle Saul (who is also called
Paul), 2 Corinthians 1:3 (NKJV)
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus
Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a
living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,” 1 Peter 1:3
(NKJV)
Followers of the Anthanasian Creed, those believing “the Son
is God,” when the [Biblical]
Yeshua said “that they may know You, the only true
God” in John 17:3, [who] is “You” referring to? I see “You” as “the only true God, the God
and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ”.
There’s
nothing more for me to say.
God bless.
In His Care…
Jim
