“We give
thanks to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you.”
Colossians 1:3 (NKJV)
In
the precious and beautiful name of Messiah Yeshua “Jesus,” greetings.
While listening to the local “Christian” radio station I
heard, “Do you know how to identify a false prophet? They either add to or subtract from the word
of God.”
The speaker on the radio is aware that the “false prophet”
makes up things as they go; things not found in the [Bible]. The speaker is a follower of the Anthanasian
Creed. Followers of that creed have
to “add to” and “subtract from the word of God” in order to make “the
Son is God.” The [Bible] only tells us that Jesus is
the Son of God.
I identify myself as a firm believer in the [Biblical] Jesus,
not the man made one. If asked what I mean by this, there’s an endless
supply of [Biblical] truths for me to draw from.
And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, “Eli, Eli, lama
sabachthani?” that is, “My God, My
God, why have You forsaken Me?” Matthew 27:46 (NKJV)
Matthew 27:46 for example makes it easy for me to say the
Jesus that “cried out, saying, My God, My God, why have
You forsaken Me” in Matthew 27:46, is referring to “My God” Jesus’
God.
Why anyone would “add to or
subtract from” what the [Biblical] Jesus knows to be a truth, that it
was His God forsaking Him, is beyond comprehension.
I wouldn’t “add to or subtract from the word of God,” the
[Bible], if I were you. The [Bible]
leads us straight to the [Biblical] Jesus, and it exposes “false
prophets.”
Believing the [Bible] is more than
sufficient enough as is, is the safest thing one could do.
God bless.
In His Care… Jim
