“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope
through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.” 1 Peter 1:3 (NKJV)
In
the name of Him making he who overcomes a pillar in the temple of His God, Messiah Yeshua “Jesus,” greetings. Revelation 3:12 (NKJV)
While listening to the local “Christian” radio station I
heard, referring to Jesus, “The second coming is more important than the
first.” The speaker on the radio is a
follower of the Anthanasian Creed.
What then? Only that in every way, whether
in pretense or in truth,
Christ is preached; and in this I rejoice, yes, and will rejoice.
Philippians 1:18 (NKJV)
The speaker had a 0% chance of convincing me that Jesus’ “second
coming is more important than the first.”
I “will rejoice” however, at the mere mentioning of Jesus’ name. I don’t know about you but when I read
Philippians 1:18, specifically the words “in truth,” the significance of
Jesus’ first coming comes to mind.
Simply that there is no second coming of Messiah
Yeshua “Jesus,” without Jesus first having to come to die on a cross for the
sin of the world. No need to wait for
Jesus’ first coming, it’s coming up on its two thousand year anniversary.
Here’s some sound [Biblical] advice, for followers of the
Anthanasian Creed. Those believing Jesus
is the Son of God, who are saved according the [Scriptures], point others to
the cross. They do so because unless one
believes in Messiah Yeshua “Jesus,” according to the [Scriptures], which leaves
the Anthanasian Creed on the outside looking in, Jesus’ second coming won’t make
a difference.
God bless.
In His Care… Jim
