Whatever Things Are True

Grace, mercy, and truth will be with you from God the Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love. 2 John 3 (NKJV)

In the only name given among men by which we must be saved, Messiah Yeshua “Jesus,” greetings.  See Acts 4:12 (NKJV)

Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. Philippians 4:8 (NKJV)

Whatever things are true, whatever things are just—meditate on these things,” doesn’t include the Anthanasian Creed.  Where did the Anthanasian Creed come from?  Ultimately, man.  Taking it one step further the mere mentioning of Jesus’ name with anything linked [directly] to the Anthanasian Creeds [false] “method of salvation,” is heresy.

Would you say the person confessing Jesus is the Son of God, the Lord and the Savior of their life, saved according to the [Scriptures], and rejects the Anthanasian Creed altogether, is saved?

I’ve sent this question to many over a period of three years.  If I gave you the names of those that I have sent it to, you’d recognize the majority of them.  To date the only [direct] answer to it I’ve received was “Yes, and no,” which really isn’t an answer at all.

Even though I have yet to receive a direct “yes” or “no” answer to the question, I know the [only] correct answer to it is, the person is saved.  I’m [very] comfortable with asking other followers of the Anthanasian Creed the same question, face to face.  I don’t need them to actually answer the question, to know it causes them to second guess what they’ve been [falsely] led to believe.

My role is to tell it like it is, which is to say according to the [Scriptures].  Philippians 4:8, keeps my eyes on that which Jesus accomplished in the first century.

God bless.
In His Care… Jim
