“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
the Father of mercies and God of all comfort.” 2 Corinthians 1:3 (NKJV)
In
the only name given among men by which we must be saved, Messiah Yeshua “Jesus,”
greetings. See Acts 4:12 (NKJV)
As I listened to the local “Christian” radio station a
follower of the Anthanasian Creed said, “If you’re a real Christian you should
look like one." I say looks can be
deceiving, because beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. Taking it one step further looking like a
Christian doesn’t make it so and conversely, not looking like a Christian doesn’t
mean one isn’t.
For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified. 1 Corinthians 2:2 (NKJV)
“Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season.
Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all long-suffering and teaching. For the time
will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but
according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap
up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth,
and be turned aside to fables. But you be watchful in all things, endure
afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.” 2 Timothy
4:2-5 (NKJV)
If you’re “determined not to know anything” “except
Jesus Christ and Him crucified,” “Preach the word,” and you “will”
“endure sound doctrine” regardless of what you look like in others eyes.
We need to lean more into [Scripture] and rely less on what
man tells us to look like, how to behave, or what to believe. Those [believing in] accepting what Jesus
accomplished in the first century, that is saved according to the [Scriptures],
should ask themselves, why would anyone say the Anthanasian Creed is sound
doctrine. There is no [Biblical] basis
for it.
Would you say the person confessing Jesus is the Son of God,
the Lord and the Savior of their life, saved according to the [Scriptures], and
rejects the Anthanasian Creed altogether, is saved? As one who loves Jesus, and who’s not ashamed
to tell others about Him, I say the person is saved.
God bless.
In His Care… Jim
