“That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of
glory, may give you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of
Him.” Ephesians 1:17 (NKJV)
In
the name of He who when being asked “Are You then the Son of God” answered “You
rightly say that I am,” Messiah Yeshua “Jesus,” greetings. See Luke
22:70 (NKJV)
Would you say the [Bible] wants us to believe in someone, not mentioned in the [Bible],
to be saved? I wouldn’t. The [Bible] points us to having to believe in
Jesus alone, for our salvation.
The Anthanasian Creed states that unless one believes the
doctrine of the trinity one cannot be saved.
Would you say this is something
one ought to consider in their daily walk with Jesus? I wouldn’t. If they’re saved according to the
[Scriptures], it shouldn’t take one long to see that the Anthanasian Creed is
false doctrine. One would have to intentionally ignore the significance
of [believing in] Messiah Yeshua “Jesus,” to consider the possibility that
someone rejecting the doctrine of trinity is not saved.
I’ve witnessed a number of people answering the call to
salvation. When I hear someone calling
on Jesus’ name to save them, it reinforces what I have known for quite some
time, that you only need to believe in Jesus to be saved. There’s nothing to gain by believing the
Anthanasian Creed. On the flip side there’s
plenty to lose, that is time spent on keeping the Anthanasian Creed up and
running.
The fact that the Anthanasian Creed
is behind this having to believe the doctrine of the trinity to be saved is
clear. I don’t have to consider the
possibility of it not being false doctrine, I know it. The Anthanasian Creed
[clearly] adds onto what Jesus accomplished in the first century.
What kind of message would the [Bible] be sending, if it sanctions
adding things onto what Jesus accomplished in the first century? As one who loves Jesus, I would say it would not
be a thoughtful one.
God bless.
In His Care… Jim
