Staying Faithful to God

Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. Hebrews 4:14 (NKJV)

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”  John 3:16 (NKJV)

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” John 14:6 (NKJV)

Recently, on the local “Christian” radio station I heard “The importance of staying faithful to God.”  To the speaker’s credit, there was not a single mention of anything linked to the Anthanasian Creed in their message.  Knowing what Jesus accomplished in the first century and staying faithful to the word of God led me straight to rejecting the Anthanasian Creeds way of salvation.

“This is the catholic (Christian) faith; which except you believe faithfully and firmly, you cannot be saved.”  - Last sentence of the Anthanasian Creed.

Don’t confuse the significance of rejecting the [Biblical] Jesus, with the insignificance of rejecting the Anthanasian Creed.

“Jesus said” He is “the way, the truth, and the life,” the only way “to the Father.” 

“That whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”

“The importance of staying faithful to God” and navigating people towards the [Biblical] Jesus, are one and the same.
