What do you really believe about Jesus? How much of what you believe about Jesus relies on your own understanding vs what’s actually written in the Bible? I believe Jesus is the Christ “Messiah,” the Son of God. You can never go wrong by believing and teaching Jesus is the Son of God. It’s right there in the Bible, Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. 1 John 4:15 (NKJV)
The Anthanasian Creed has gone beyond what the Scriptures tell us. To trust the Anthanasian Creed, one would have to rely on man’s understanding. There’s not a single story in the Bible about anyone having to believe “the Son is God” to be saved. The Anthanasian Creed added onto what Jesus accomplished in the first century when it declared one has to believe “the Son is God” to be saved. The closing words of the Anthanasian Creed are clear, unless one believes [everything] documented in the Anthanasian Creed one “cannot be saved.”
There’s a 0% chance of convincing me that I’m not saved according to the Scriptures, because I rely on the Bible being the inspired word of God. As laid out for us in the Bible, Jesus did for me what no one else could do.
