False teachers are connoisseurs at adding things onto what the Bible actually says. It’s simple. If you can’t find in the Bible, anyone having to believe it to be saved, “the Son is God” for example, don’t think we have to believe it to be saved today. “He who believes in the Son,” Jesus, “has everlasting life” that is saved according to the Scriptures.
