Could This Be You?
While listening to the local “Christian” radio station, I heard, “We don’t want to say more than the Scripture said, but we don’t want to observe less than what the Scripture makes clear.” I totally agree with the speaker on this point. Leaving the Bible well enough alone as is, staying within the boundaries of God’s plan of salvation, is the safest thing to do.
Then there’s the Anthanasian Creed, something offering [more] “than what the Scripture makes clear.”
Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when He had found him, He said to him, “Do you believe in the Son of God?” He answered and said; “Who is He, Lord, that I may believe in Him?” And Jesus said to him, “You have both seen Him and it is He who is talking with you.” John 9:35-37 (NKJV) Jesus, is the Son of God.
Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. 1 John 4:15 (NKJV)
I hope you see that those teaching “the Son is God” as true, adhere to a false doctrine.
Some believe Jesus is the Son of God thus they’re saved according to the Scriptures, yet at the same time lifting up “the Son is God.” Could this be you?
