Jesus Is Not A Fake Or A Liar (Part 3)

Jesus said to her, “Do not cling to Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father; but go to My brethren and say to them, ‘I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.’” John 20:17 (NKJV) While listening to the local “Christian” radio station, I heard, “The Scriptures are perfectly clear, and perfectly balanced.” I totally agree with the speaker on this point. If someone totally agreeing with the speaker were to also teach [unless one believes “the Son is God” one “cannot be saved”], I’d say, there’s a [serious] problem here. If you’ve read my most recent posts, the mere thought of Jesus being fake, or a liar, is terrifying to me. Finding out [exactly] where this particular individual stands with Jesus, would be priority number one for me. I can accomplish this by asking them one simple question, concerning something Jesus said. Here’s my question: After reading what “Jesus said” in John 20:17, specifically “I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God,” would you say Jesus’ God and Father and your God and Father are one and the same? I can safely say, because I have experienced it for myself a number of times, those believing “the Son is God” are reluctant to answer this question. It’s easy for me to say, believing Jesus is the Son of God that is saved according to the Scriptures, Jesus’ God and Father and my God and Father are one and the same. Jesus is not a fake, or a liar. God bless. In His Care… Jim
