Keep One From Saying Jesus Is God

Recently online, I found someone listing ten reasons to believe Jesus is God. Not soon after this, someone else listed six reasons. It’s the same old story, of people not mentioned in the Bible believing that Jesus is claiming to be God in the Bible. There’s one reason to keep from saying Jesus is God. That is, you’re making Jesus out to be a liar. In John 20:17 (NKJV) you’ll find, Jesus said to her, “Do not cling to Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father; but go to My brethren and say to them, ‘I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.’” Knowing Jesus doesn’t lie, specifically when He said “I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God” in John 20:17, is it not reason enough to keep one from saying Jesus is God?
