Referring To His God As "My God"
Whether you’re about to read the Bible for the very first time, or for the one hundred and ninety ninth time, you should know, there has been a lot of false things said about Jesus that didn’t make their way into this century. Unfortunately the Anthanasian Creed’s “the Son is God” and Jesus being the same, did. Therefore, as you read the Bible know/believe it is absolutely trustworthy as is, and Satan is bent on making Jesus out to be a liar. Biblically speaking, that is according to the Scriptures, “the Son is God” is contrary to God’s plan of salvation. There are some that would disagree today, because for whatever reason, they lean more on man’s understanding of the Scriptures. I pray God that you’re not one of them.
There’s no need to ponder the validity of “the Son is God” today because the Bible reveals things that are contrary to the Scriptures. Twice Jesus called God “My God” His God in Matthew 27:46, once in John 20:17, and four more times in Revelation 3:12. It doesn’t matter which one of these seven times Jesus called God “My God” His God in the Scriptures you use, make sure you know/believe that it’s Jesus saying, referring to His God as “My God.” Jesus ascended to His God and Father, and it’s biblically impossible to prove otherwise.
So, whether you’re about to read the Bible for the very first time, or for the one hundred and ninety ninth time, know that it’s Jesus that’s saying “I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God” in John 20:17 (NKJV).
God bless.
In His Care… Jim
