Look No Further Than Jesus's Accomplishments
My aim it to get people to consider reading the Bible for themselves, and to seek God’s understanding of it and not mine or anyone else’s, if they choose to do so. I can’t begin to fathom the fullness of God’s purpose/plan for my life, let alone get others to fathom theirs.
I do know that being right by the Scriptures, is to put all things in God’s hands. I won’t be swayed by things people say, think, and do but, for my reactions towards them, I will be held accountable.
Teaching something as true, that is according to the Scriptures, means not going beyond what the Scriptures actually say. When quoting Scripture you can actually say, “it is written.” Not so, when quoting something written by those not mentioned in the Bible, especially when it concerns what one must believe in order to be saved according to the Scriptures. The person teaching unless one believes “the Son is God” one “cannot be saved” as true, should already know that “the Son is God” only came to exist with the Anthanasian Creed.
What they fail to see is one’s salvation does not depend upon the events that took place in AD 325, when “the Son is God” was actually birthed.
Which would you say offers the only way to salvation, the Biblical account of who Jesus is, “it is written,” or the Anthanasian Creed’s “the Son is God?” For the one considering reading the Bible, looking to find the answer to the question for themselves, don’t go beyond what the Scriptures actually say. When it comes to what one must believe in order to be saved according to the Scriptures, look no further than Jesus’s accomplishments in the first century, as laid out for us in the Bible.
God bless.
In His Care… Jim
