Declaring The End From The Beginning
“But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.” Mark 13:32 (NKJV)
“Remember the former things of old, for I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like Me, declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all My pleasure.” Isaiah 46:9—10 (NKJV)
“There is none like Me,” God, tells of “things that are not yet done.” For example, “that day and hour” that’s mentioned in Mark 13:32. No one else knows of it, “not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son.” “The Son” in this case, Jesus, admits to not knowing “that day and hour.” If you were to say the all-knowing God of the Bible is well aware of Jesus not knowing all things, you’d be absolutely correct. The Bible gives us no reason to believe otherwise. How about the Anthanasian Creed’s “the Son is God”? Would you say it is aware of the all-knowing God of the Bible “declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things that are not yet done,” let alone Jesus not knowing all things? The rest is between you and the all-knowing God of the Bible, Jesus’s God, and Father (John 20:17).
God bless.
In His Care… Jim
