Not My Will
In Luke 22:42 (NKJV) Jesus said, “Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done.” When you know that what the Bible actually tells us about Jesus is trustworthy, you’ll see why “the Son is God” is meaningless. When Jesus speaks of the “Father,” in the Bible, He’s referring to His God and Father (John 20:17). Therefore, by Jesus saying “not My will” in Luke 22:42, followed by the words “but Yours, be done,” He cannot be speaking of Himself when He says “Yours.” This clearly shows that Jesus and “the Son is God” are not the same.
Do you know what it would take to make “the Son is God” meaningful? Its only life line is to keep it as far away from the biblical account of who Jesus is.
God bless.
In His Care… Jim
