And To My God
I heard it’s not being done right if it’s not by the word of God. I like it. Should those who believe “the Son is God” today even be heard saying such a thing? Biblically speaking, other than avoiding it altogether nothing about “the Son is God” is right. If I were to live the rest of my days here on earth without ever mentioning the Anthanasian Creed again, I’d know that my salvation would be secure in Christ Jesus.
The word of God endures forever. There is nothing anyone can do without Jesus and that is what it means to be found right by the word of God. Jesus exposed “the Son is God” as not speaking of Himself when He said “I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God” in John 20:17 (NKJV). Unless one can prove that it wasn’t the right thing for Jesus to say “and to My God,” I’d stay clear of the Anthanasian Creed’s “the Son is God.”
God bless.
In His Care… Jim
