The Risen Christ
After this, Jesus, knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the Scripture might be fulfilled, said, “I thirst!” Now a vessel full of sour wine was sitting there; and they filled a sponge with sour wine, put it on hyssop, and put it to His mouth. So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit. John 19:28-30 (NKJV)
Jesus accomplished what He was sent to do, “It is finished.” That is so complete that all we have to do now is to receive it. Our salvation hinges on believing in Christ Jesus according to the Scriptures. He died for us, and He is coming again. I thank God for the empty tomb, and equally so, that I can read all about it in the Bible today. You have to love the Bible, with all that it proves. I pray God that you trust the eternal destiny of your soul to the risen Christ. Simply, “That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:9 (NKJV)
God bless.
In His Care… Jim
