Jesus's Ascension To His God And Father?

In John 20:17 (NKJV) Jesus said, “I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.” Some would have you believing, “the Father is God, the Son is God, and the Holy Spirit is God.” For good reason, I have rid my mind of such foolishness. I trust both Jesus, and the Biblical account of Him. Jesus is the Son of God who ascended to His God and Father. Here’s the problem with “the Son is God.” It requires one to lean on man’s understanding to even consider the possibility of it being valid. It can’t be supported by any Biblical reference. It necessitates one to second guess everything recorded in the Bible. Simply saying that something is so, in this case “the Son is God,” doesn’t make it so. What is written in John 20:17, however, is Biblical and thus absolutely believable as is. While the Son of God, Jesus, did ascend to His God and Father, “The Son is God” only came to exist with the Anthanasian Creed. If you don’t agree, how would you suggest one defend Jesus’s ascension to His God and Father? God bless. In His Care… Jim
