The Acceptable Time

My faith in the biblical Jesus is the very thing God uses to demonstrate how the Bible declares Jesus is trustworthy. It keeps me focused on the things Jesus accomplished in the first century, as laid out for us in the Scriptures. If I get duped into believing any non-biblical thing I hear about Jesus, it would be because I lost sight of what the Bible tells me is true. I would only have myself to blame. Jesus said to her, “Do not cling to Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father; but go to My brethren and say to them, ‘I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.’” John 20:17 (NKJV) If you believe Jesus is God, then can you tell me this? Why would Jesus say “I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God” in John 20:17? Would He then go on to claim to be God elsewhere in the Scriptures? Jesus saying “and to My God” should tell you something’s wrong with the way you’ve been taught. When will it be an acceptable time to say, “the Son is God” shouldn’t have made its way into this century? God bless. In His Care… Jim
