The Bible Is The Best Thing That We Have

The good news about the Anthanasian Creed’s “the Son is God,” is that it’s not biblical. When I hear, even though the words “the Son is God” aren’t in the Bible the evidence of it being so is, the tale of the Anthanasian Creed comes to mind. How fitting is it that followers of that particular creed end up being the ones who show us why “the Son is God” shouldn’t have made its way into this century. To date, all the evidence points to them relying on their own understanding of the doctrine of the trinity, as well as the Scriptures. I’d say they’re left to continue down that same path, knowing Jesus’s ascension to His God and Father is legit. In John 20:17 (NKJV) Jesus said, “I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.” When it comes to learning more about Jesus, the Bible is the best thing that we have.
