For The Very First Time
When you accept the fact that Jesus ascended to His God and Father, you’ll understand why the Anthanasian Creed’s “the Son is God” has absolutely nothing to do with the biblical Jesus. In John 20:17 (NKJV) Jesus said, “I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.” If one has read or heard “the Son is God” for the very first time, where should they go to find if it’s actually trustworthy or not? The Bible. I hope this makes those lifting up “the Son is God” today feel uncomfortable, because they’re the ones putting the honesty of Christ Jesus into question. “The Son is God” only came to exist with the Anthanasian Creed, not because there is Biblical support for it. It’s safe to say the Bible is absolutely trustworthy. “The Son is God” has nothing to do with the biblical Jesus. To be sure, the Son of God, Jesus, ascended to His God and Father.
God bless.
In His Care… Jim
