In The
In the Anthanasian Creed, “the Son is God.” In the Bible, Jesus said “I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.” John 20:17 (NKJV)
In the Anthanasian Creed, unless one believes “the Son is God” they cannot be saved. In the Bible, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16 (NKJV) The “Him” in John 3:16 is the same Jesus who says “I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God” in John 20:17.
Many have chosen to accept the Anthanasian Creed’s “the Son is God” even when the Bible shows it to be unacceptable and contradictory. In the Bible, there’s every reason to believe Jesus ascended to His God and Father. There is no salvation without Jesus. “Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” Acts 4:12 (NKJV) That name is Jesus. The Bible supports Jesus as God’s plan for salvation and that will always be better than relying on man’s understanding by putting your trust in “the Son is God.” “Nor is there salvation in any other,” includes “the Son is God.” In the Bible is where you will find all the evidence you need.
God bless.
In His Care… Jim
