“That you may
with one mind and with one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus
Christ.” Romans 15:6 (NKJV)
In
the precious and beautiful name of Messiah Yeshua “Jesus,” greetings.
While listening to the local “Christian” radio station I heard,
“In Italy there is a portrait that pictures Jesus perfectly. There’s a cross, Jesus with the nail holes
and in the background, God.” The speaker
on the radio went on to say the portrait was, “A picture of the [Trinity].” The speaker on the radio is a follower of the
Anthanasian Creed. The Anthanasian Creed
is the high priest of all false doctrines.
Without the Anthanasian Creed the doctrine of the “Trinity,” isn’t.
“You shall not make for yourself a
carved image—any likeness of anything
that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in
the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For
I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God (Exodus 20:4-5 NKJV).”
Exodus 20:4-5 is plain, simple, and easy to understand. Not that the [Bible] doesn’t teach us to stay
clear of false doctrines because it does, the “portrait” in Italy isn’t taking anyone
into the kingdom of God either. In a
world bent on silencing [Biblical] truths, the last thing we need is to ignore
them. The [Bible] says don’t make for
yourself “any likeness of anything that is in heaven above,” so, don’t
do it!
It doesn’t matter what day of the year it is, nor hour of
the day, we need to hear more about what Jesus accomplished in the first
century, and less on what man has accomplished since. Jesus showed us the true meaning of
forgiveness.
So when they continued asking Him,
He raised Himself up and said to them, “He
who is without sin among you, let
him throw a stone at her first.” And again He stooped down and wrote on
the ground. Then those who heard it, being convinced by their conscience, went
out one by one, beginning with the oldest even to the last. And Jesus was left
alone, and the woman standing in the midst.
When Jesus had raised Himself up
and saw no one but the woman, He said to her, “Woman, where are those accusers of yours? Has no one condemned you?” She
said, “No one, Lord.” And Jesus said to her, “Neither
do I condemn you; go and sin no more.” John
8:7-11 (NKJV)
We know “those accusers” didn’t accomplish what they
set out to do that day, which was to get Jesus to see things their way. The moment Jesus said “He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her
first,” “those accusers” knew Jesus did the right thing.
I don’t know how many of “those accusers” were still
within hearing distance when Jesus said “Neither do I condemn you; go and
sin no more” to the woman that day, the [Bible] doesn’t tell us. What Jesus accomplished this day, is just as
good for us today.
It is my obligation to tell you that whatever it is you’re
looking to accomplish today, have your mind set on doing the right thing. In a world bent on silencing [Biblical]
truths, I wouldn’t ignore them if I were you.
Even if you should stumble, and fall, as we all will do, look to what
Jesus accomplished in the first century.
Now after John was put in prison,
Jesus came to Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, and saying,
“The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.” Mark 1:14-15 (NKJV)
“Repent, and believe in the gospel” will always be,
the right thing to do.
God bless.
In His Care… Jim
