“Blessed be
the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant
mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus
Christ from the dead,” 1 Peter 1:3 (NKJV)
In
the precious and beautiful name of Messiah Yeshua “Jesus,” greetings.
“Not everyone who says to Me,
‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom
of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will
say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast
out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will
declare to them, ‘I never knew you;
depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’” Matthew 7:21-23 (NKJV)
As you can see Matthew 7:21-23 is plain, simple, and easy to
understand. Claiming to know Jesus
doesn’t guarantee entrance into “the kingdom of heaven.” For some of those claiming to know Jesus,
they will hear, “I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice
lawlessness!”
When Jesus came into the region of
Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, saying, “Who do men say that I, the
Son of Man, am?” So they said, “Some say John the Baptist, some Elijah, and
others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.” He said to them, “But who do you say
that I am?” Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” Matthew
16:13-16 (NKJV)
Then the servant girl that kept the
door said to Peter, “You are not also one of this Man’s disciples, are
you?” He said, I am not.” John
18:17 (NKJV)
Now Peter stood and warmed himself.
Therefore they said to him, “You are not one of His disciples, are you?” He
denied it and said, “I am not!” One
of the servants of the high priest, a relative of him whose ear Peter cut off,
said, “Did I not see you in the garden with Him?” Peter then denied again;
and immediately a rooster crowed. John 18:25-27 (NKJV)
We know the same Peter that answered Jesus’ question
correctly, saying, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God,”
denied being one of Jesus’ disciples three times (John 18:17, 25 and 27). If Peter had continued to deny being with Jesus,
the [Bible] wouldn’t look the same today.
For if, after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the
knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them
and overcome, the latter end is worse for them than the beginning. For
it would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness,
than having known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered to them. 2 Peter 2:20-21 (NKJV)
For one what’s known to us today as 2 Peter 2:20-21 would have
been meant for Peter knowing Jesus is “the Christ, the Son of
the living God,” and “the latter end is worse for them than the
beginning.”
The longer one continues to teach false doctrines as [Biblical]
truths, the greater the chances they will hear “I never knew you;
depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!” The same can be said for those believing these
false doctrines.
Take the Anthanasian Creed for example, nothing has caused
more people to turn from [Biblical] truths.
If those believing it continue teaching it as [Biblically] sound “after they
have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and
Savior Jesus Christ, the latter end is worse for them than the
beginning.”
“Whosoever will be saved, before
all things, it is necessary that he hold the catholic (i. e. , universal,
Christian) faith. Which faith except every one do keep whole and undefiled
without doubt he shall perish
everlastingly.” The first two
sentences of the Anthanasian Creed.
“So the Father is God, the Son is God, and the Holy
Ghost is God. And yet they are not three Gods, but one God.” The Anthanasian Creed.
“This is the catholic (Christian)
faith; which except you believe
faithfully and firmly, you cannot
be saved.” The last sentence of
the Anthanasian Creed.
During [Biblical] times, no one had to worry about
distancing themselves from “except you believe faithfully and firmly the Son
is God you cannot be saved.” They didn’t
fear that they’ll “perish everlastingly” if they didn’t agree with those
teaching it as a [Biblical] truth. These
things are byproducts of what surfaced, became doctrine of the Catholic Church in
325-AD, the Anthanasian Creed.
Everyone, if they would take the
time to look for the words “the Son is God” in the [Bible], they would
discover for themselves they aren’t [there].
Seeing man’s interpretation of [Scripture] as not enduring
forever, will be a step in the right direction for them as well.
Have you ever heard, even though the words “the Son is
God” aren’t found in the [Bible] the evidence of it being so does? I have.
Knowing “the Son is God” was
birthed in 325-AD, and that it is only man’s interpretation of [Scripture], I’m
very comfortable with calling the Anthanasian Creed the high priest of all
false doctrines.
Please, at all cost, avoid hearing “
I never knew you;
depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!” The safest thing one could do to keep from
hearing it, is to make sure everything they’re hearing about the [Bible], is
[in] the [Bible].
If you’re having to look outside the [Bible] for [Biblical]
truths, this should be a red flag. Knowing
the inspired word of God has the final say, should keep one from looking elsewhere. The inspired word of God not only endures
forever, it’s sufficient enough as is.
God bless.
In His Care… Jim
