Who
is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of
God? 1 John 5:5 (NKJV)
In
the precious and beautiful name of Messiah Yeshua “Jesus,” greetings.
While listening to the local “Christian” radio station I
heard, “When church members join the church they’re joining [the] church.” The
speaker on the radio made it crystal clear “When church members join the
church,” refers to earthy institutions called “church.” “They’re joining [the] church,” the body of Christ. The speaker is a follower of the Anthanasian
Creed. I would suggest that being a
member of one “church” has absolutely nothing to do with the other.
Joining a local church doesn’t
guarantee that the person is saved, according to the [Scriptures].
To be in the [Church] body of
Christ, everyone must be saved according to the [Scriptures]. They may never have seen the inside of an earthly
institution called “church,” much less become a member, and yet they are still
saved.
If [joining] becoming a member of a local church requires
that one must believe the doctrines of that church, make sure they are
[Biblical] sound. If they incorporate the
Anthanasian Creed, walk away. Jesus’ teachings are more than trustworthy as
is. The Anthanasian Creed [clearly] adds
on to them.
If believing in the Anthanasian Creed is the only way to
salvation, and thus the doctrine of the trinity, why didn’t the first century
followers of Jesus refer to it?
Here’s some sound [Biblical] advice, don’t mistake the
doctrines of men for [Biblical] truths.
God bless.
In His Care… Jim
