“That you may with one mind and with one mouth glorify
the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Romans 15:6 (NKJV)
In
the name of Him who makes us kings and priests to His God and Father, Messiah
Yeshua “Jesus,” greetings. See Revelation 1:6
(NKJV)
While listening to the local “Christian” radio station I
heard, “Christians need to know what they believe, and to back it up.” I agree.
You have to be able to defend what you believe. For example:
Jesus said to her, “Do not cling to Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father; but go to My brethren and say to them, ‘I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.’” John 20:17 (NKJV)
John 20:17 is clear, and nothing in the [Bible] will
prove it to be any less than true. The
person [believing] it says they have the same God and Father as Jesus, would
have no problem backing this up. You can
see John 20:17 supports their claim, as Jesus is known for telling the truth.
Jesus ascended to “My Father”
His Father “and your Father,” His brethren’s Father.
Jesus ascended “to My God”
His God “and your God,” His brethren’s God.
If Jesus didn’t ascend to His God, and Father, then
everything He accomplished in the first century is a hoax, which is to say the
[Bible] becomes null and void.
In a world where it seems evil is good and good is evil, preaching
the gospel of Jesus Christ in truth, which is to say [Scripture] alone, is the
safe thing to do. Nothing [backs up]
safeguards the salvation of one’s soul more than to [believe in] accept what
Jesus accomplished on the cross.
“For God so loved the world that He
gave His only begotten Son, that whoever
believes in Him should not
perish but have everlasting life.”
John 3:16 (NKJV)
A person can choose to believe whatever they like but if it
concerns the salvation of one’s soul, it better agree with what Jesus
accomplished in the first century. It is
available for all to see, in the [Bible].
When we read the [Bible], specifically the words of Messiah Yeshua
“Jesus,” we’re reading God’s [love] letter to those in need of a Savior,
sinners, lost and without hope. To
reject the [Biblical] Jesus is to be lost and without hope, destined to hell’s
fire. The choice is ours. The [Bible] isn’t forcing us to choose one
way or the other. “Whoever believes
in” Jesus “should not perish but have everlasting life.” Salvation is that simple.
You don’t have to be a [Biblical] scholar, but what you know
about Jesus, you should be able to backup with what He accomplished in the
first century. Trust in the absolute
truth and simplicity of John 3:16 before you tell people what they must believe
in order to be saved.
God bless.
In His Care… Jim
