And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.” John 17:3 (NKJV) “The only true God” who in fact “whom You have sent,” Jesus, is Jesus’s God and Father (John 20:17). In the Bible, do you find this same God apologizing for Jesus being, spit on, mocked, beaten and flogged, capped with a crown of thorns and nailed to a cross?
