Salvation Is Near

I remember well when I openly confessed that Jesus is the Son of God. He became the Lord and the Savior of my life from that moment on. It was not only God’s will for my life to make this confession, but also to know that Jesus is “the author and finisher of” my “faith” (Hebrews 12:2 NKJV). Salvation could not have been made any easier for me to receive, and the same holds true for all peoples of the world. Make no mistake about it, God isn’t forcing anyone into believing anything, yet for everyone, salvation is near. How was it that I came to putting my faith in Jesus? “Lest” I “should boast” (Ephesians 2:9), it didn’t begin with me. I knew I had to make changes in my life, because doing it my way wasn’t helpful to myself or others. The changes I made in my life, by faith, led me to surrender my life to Jesus. I know this surrender to Jesus “the author and finisher of” my “faith,” “it is the gift of God” (Ephesians 2:9 NKJV) because the Bible tells me so. I’m no longer in bondage to my own successes, failures, or what others say/think about me. I am known by Jesus, saved according to the Scriptures. Once again, because the Bible tells me so I can safely say it all began well before I was even born. God “covered me in my mother’s womb,” and it’s good to know that “I am fearfully and wonderfully made” (Psalm 139:13—14 NKJV). “Created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we” I “should walk in them” (Ephesians 2:10 NKJV). God bless. In His Care… Jim
