Unthinkable

I’ve been spending a lot time lately on the computer, following specific conversations pitting Catholics against Protestants. A few things I read coming from Catholics include, “Scripture alone is not biblical,” “Peter is the first Pope,” and “the Pope is God on earth.” Simply, they’re giving their audience what they think the Bible should say. Anyway, I joined a couple of conversations, leaving a number of comments for all to read. The feedback I received, other than one “like” and one “red heart,” confirmed what I already knew. Not everyone is in agreement with the teachings of the Catholic Church, I being one of them. Scripture alone IS biblical. I am a fan of Peter’s writings, so I know that Jesus’s God and Father and Peter’s God and Father are the same. Peter, led by the Holy Spirit, wrote “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,” found in 1 Peter 1:3 (NKJV) To place the care of my salvation in the hands of anyone but Jesus, in this case “the Pope is God on earth,” is unthinkable. God bless. In His Care… Jim
