“Blessed be
the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every
spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ.” Ephesians 1:3 (NKJV)
In
the precious and beautiful name of Messiah Yeshua “Jesus,” greetings.
“Look” he answered, “I see four men loose, walking
in the midst of the fire; and they are not hurt, and the form of the fourth
is like the Son of God.” Daniel 3:25 (NKJV)
While
listening to the local “Christian” radio station I heard, “And the fourth was
like the son of the gods.” The speaker
on the radio was referring to, Daniel 3:25.
The speaker is a follower of the Anthanasian Creed.
Imagine it’s
Monday and Cathy is at work. With a (just
purchased) bible open to Daniel 3:25 before her and the notes she took the day
before, she sits at her usual table for lunch.
The day before Cathy had visited the local church, after a ten year
hiatus, where she heard what I just heard on the radio. She left interested in learning more about these
“four men,” “walking in the midst of the fire,” while believing as
taught that Jesus was one of them.
Going back
and forth, from the notes she took the day before and the [Bible], Cathy is
confused. Cathy can’t find the words “”the
sons of the gods,” in Daniel 3:25. Nor on
the internet, as she searches other versions of the [Bible] for them.
A few of
Cathy’s friends, having noticed Cathy’s unusual routine, and her lunch left
untouched, approached Cathy. “Cathy, are
you okay?” questioned one of Cathy’s friends.
“We only have
ten more minutes before having to get back to work and you haven’t touched your
lunch. What’s going on?” said
another.
“I went to
church yesterday and heard about Jesus and these three men in a fire. You heard it correctly,” she said somewhat uncomfortably. “I went to church. The pastor encouraged us to take notes, and I
did but something the pastor said isn’t in the bible and I know I wrote it down
correctly. I bought this bible with the
hopes of learning more about it, and now I’m wondering if I got the wrong one,”
said Cathy.
“Cathy, he’s
the pastor. I am sure he knows what he
is talking about,” responded her friend hopefully.
It is my obligation
to tell you to not give anyone reason to believe something is in the [Bible],
when it isn’t. People do listen, and
some actually investigate the matter for themselves while others will
mistakenly just take your word for it.
God bless.
In His Care…
Jim
