“Blessed be
the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of
all comfort,” Apostle Saul (who is also called Paul), 2 Corinthians 1:3 (NKJV)
In
the precious and beautiful name of Messiah Yeshua “Jesus,” greetings.
If you were asked is there anything we can trust these days,
what would that be? I’d say one thing
and one thing alone, the teachings of the [Biblical] Yeshua “Jesus”. The way I see it, if it doesn’t agree with
Yeshua’s teachings, it’s not trustworthy.
How about if you were asked how a person would know whether
or not it [is] a teaching of the [Biblical] Yeshua. What would you say to that? Even the Atheist, one believing no God, would
say cross check it with what’s found in the bible. Does that make every “book” having the word “bible”
in its title, the inspired word of God?
Common sense tells us it doesn’t.
Would you say the commentary in a specific version of the [Bible], is the
inspired word of God? Obviously it’s not. That’s why knowing the source of one’s belief
is essential, to answering the question correctly. To be [Biblically] correct that is. For example.
And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a load
voice, saying, “Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?”
that is, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?”
Matthew 27:46 (NKJV)
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the
Father except through Me.”
John 14:6 (NKJV)
Jesus said to her, “Do not cling to Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father;
but go to My brethren and say to them, ‘I am ascending to My Father and your
Father, and to My God and your God.’” John 20:17 (NKJV)
It’ll be easy
to figure out who the red letter words in Matthew 27:46 John 14:6 and 20:17
belong to, the [Biblical] Yeshua. Within
these three verses of [Scripture] “Jesus cried out” and “Jesus said”
are found, thus making it easy to link them to the [Biblical] Yeshua “Jesus”.
“He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the
temple of My God, and he
shall go out no more. I will write
on him the name of My God and
the city of My God, the New
Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God. And I will
write on him My new name.” Revelation 3:12 (NKJV)
How about
Revelation 3:12. Do you see anything
like “Jesus cried out” or “Jesus said,” linking the red letter
words to a specific person, in it? In
the New King James Version of the [Bible] which is the one I use, nothing like
this is found. What we do find in
Revelation 3:12, “I will make, I
will write, My God” and “My new name,” doesn’t settle a thing. A
person looking at Revelation 3:12 for the very first time, wouldn’t have a clue
as to who’s saying these things. How
then would that person know [who] “I” and “My”
are speaking of?
I did a little research of my own and found the idea of
having “red letter” words in the [Bible], surfaced in 1899. They were “meant” to help us. I can safely say what’s [actually] written in
the inspired word of God, not color, and is all that matters here. I’ll leave it at that for now. Let’s continue on. Remember, we’re looking to find what’s
trustworthy.
And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a load
voice, saying, “Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?” that is, “My God, My God,
why have You forsaken Me?” Matthew 27:46 (NKJV)
Jesus said to her, “Do not cling to Me, for I have not
yet ascended to My Father;
but go to My brethren and say to them, ‘I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.’” John 20:17 (NKJV)
“He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple
of My God, and he shall go
out no more. I will write on him the name of My God and the city of My
God, the New Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God. And I will write on him
My new name.” Revelation 3:12 (NKJV)
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the
life. No one comes to the Father
except through Me.” John 14:6 (NKJV)
Do you believe Jesus [is] the Son of God? I certainly
do. If [you] do, it’ll be easy to [see] “the Father” in John 14:6, “My God” in Matthew 27:46, John 20:17 and Revelation 3:12, are one and
the same. Jesus’ God and, Father.
If you can’t
trust the [Biblical] fact of Matthew 27:46, John 20:17 and Revelation 3:12
agreeing, how are you going to trust the things Jesus said about “the Father” in John
14:6? The teachings of the [Biblical]
Yeshua [are] trustworthy my friends.
Here’s something for those believing the Anthanasian Creeds “the
Son is God” to think about.
“And to the angel of
the church in Thyatira write, ‘These
things says the Son of God, who has eyes like a flame of fire,
and His feet like fine brass:’” Revelation 2:18 (NKJV)
“And to
the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write, ‘These things says the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness,
the Beginning of the creation of God: Revelation 3:14 (NKJV)
Knowing that Jesus called the all-knowing God of the [Bible]
“My God” His God as He walked on earth
(John 20:17). On the cross (Matthew
27:46). After He ascended into heaven (Revelation
3:12). Who “These things says” would
[you] say is speaking in Revelation 2:18 and 3:14? Would you say “the
Son of God” in Revelation 2:18 and “The
Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God,” in
Revelation 3:14, are one and the same? I
would.
If “the Son of
God” and “The Faithful and True Witness, the
Beginning of the creation of God” are one and the same, and they
are, the [Biblical] Yeshua, would you say the Anthanasian Creeds “the Son is God” agrees with the teachings of the [Biblical]
Yeshua? I wouldn’t. In the inspired word of God there aren’t any
“faithful and true” witnesses to the Anthanasian Creed, found. The Anthanasian Creed surfaced in 325-AD. Acknowledging that creed as having absolutely
nothing to do with the teachings of Messiah Yeshua, is the [Biblically] correct
thing to do. As you can see, the
teachings of the [Biblical] Yeshua don’t support the Anthanasian Creeds “the
Son is God”.
These six verses of [Scripture], Matthew 27:46, and John
14:6, 20:17, Revelation 2:18, 3:12 and 14, are found in the inspired word of
God. Identifying the [source] of one’s
system of belief, makes it easier for them to [see] whether it’s trustworthy or
not. It would be foolish for a person to
say the inspired word of God is hearsay.
That in itself would be hearsay at best.
God bless.
In His Care… Jim
