“Blessed be the God and Father of
our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the
heavenly places in Christ.” Ephesians 1:3 (NKJV)
In the Precious and Beautiful name of Messiah Yeshua
“Jesus,” greetings.
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word
was with God, and the Word
was God. John 1:1 (NKJV)
Whenever you read John 1:1 in the
[Bible], keep this one thing in mind. The
words, divinely chosen to be included in the [Bible], are all that is needed to
understand it. There are those that believe
a Greek translation of “Word” in John 1:1, is “logos,” and that this makes
Jesus “God.” In their explanation of it however,
they’re saying don’t look for the evidence of it being so in the [Bible] because
it’s just not there. Besides this translation,
along with man’s understanding and/or interpretation of [Scripture], they have nothing
else to offer.
Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes Jesus is the Son of
God? 1 John 5:5 (NKJV)
For there are three that bear witness
in heaven: the Father, the Word,
and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one.
1 John 5:7 (NKJV)
In
my [Bible] the words “Jesus is the Son of God” are found in 1 John
5:5. Two verses later in 1 John 5:7, the
word “Word.” As you can see it’s
the same word that’s found in John 1:1. The
key word here isn’t “Word” in John 1:1 and 1 John 5:7 my friends, it’s the
words “but he who believes Jesus is the Son of God” in 1 John 5:5.
Whoever
confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides
in him, and he in God. 1 John 4:15
(NKJV)
1 John 4:15 “Whoever confesses
that Jesus is the Son of God,” comes in prior to 1 John 5:5 and 5:7, and
after John 1:1. The writer of these
verses of [Scripture], John, is clearly establishing the significance of
believing “Jesus is the Son of God.”
If
John’s writings were all we had to work with, it would be enough to know
confessing “Jesus is the Son of God” leads one straight to the kingdom
of God.
And truly Jesus did many other
signs in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in this book; but
these are written that you may believe that
Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God,
and that believing you may have life in His name. John 20:30-31 (NKJV)
You’d have to admit believing “Jesus is the Christ, the Son of
God (John 20:30),” is exactly what John’s writings are encouraging us to do. “Whoever
confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God (1
John 4:15)” comes with a 100% guarantee, a one way ticket to the kingdom of
God.
God bless.
In His Care… Jim
