“We give thanks to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus
Christ, praying always for you.” Colossians 1:3 (NKJV)
In
the name of Him who did not come to destroy but to fulfill, Messiah Yeshua
“Jesus,” greetings. Matthew 5:17-18 (NKJV)
“Let not your heart be troubled;
you believe in God, believe also in Me. In
My Father’s house are many mansions;
if it were not so, I would have told you. I
go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you,
I will come again and receive you to
Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.” John 14:1-3 (NKJV)
“In”
Jesus’ “Father’s house are many mansions.”
“You are My friends if you do
whatever I command you. No longer do I
call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I
have called you friends, for
all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you.” John 15:14-15
(NKJV)
“I go to prepare a place for you,” Jesus is
preparing a [welcome home] place for His “friends.” “A place for you,” believers in
Messiah Yeshua “Jesus,” according to the [Scriptures].
“You shall not make for yourself a carved image—any likeness of
anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is
in the water under the earth.” Exodus 20:4 (NKJV)
Unlike here on earth where there seems to be an endless
supply of them, in this place that Jesus is preparing “for you” there
will be no “carved images” of Jesus’ friends or of Jesus Himself.
Do you not know that the
unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither
fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor
thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit
the kingdom of God. And such were
some of you. But you were
washed, but you were sanctified,
but you were justified in the name of
the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God. 1 Corinthians 6:9-11
(NKJV)
In this place that Jesus is preparing “for you” we will find
those who “were washed,” “sanctified” and “justified in the
name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God,” born again believers
in Messiah Yeshua “Jesus.” “And such
were some of you.”
For those not yet trusting Jesus as Savior, I pray you take
the time to consider what Jesus is doing here. Jesus “will come again and receive you to”
Himself, if you should choose to [trust] believe in Him. As one who loves Jesus, it doesn’t get any better
than to know Jesus is preparing “a place for” me. It gets me through each passing day, knowing
Jesus is coming again.
God bless.
In His Care… Jim
