Who
is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of
God? 1 John 5:5 (NKJV)
In
the precious and beautiful name of Messiah Yeshua “Jesus,” greetings.
Jesus said to her, “Do not cling to Me, for I have
not yet ascended to My Father; but go to My brethren and say to them, ‘I am
ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.’” John 20:17 (NKJV)
“He who rejects Me, and does not receive My words, has
that which judges him—the word that I have spoken will judge him in the last
day. For I have not spoken on My own
authority; but the Father who sent Me gave Me a command, what I
should say and what I should speak. And I know that His command is
everlasting life. Therefore, whatever
I speak, just as the Father has told Me, so I speak.” John 12:48-50 (NKJV)
“Therefore, whatever I speak, just as the Father has
told Me, so I speak.” This is an amazing thing. Jesus clarifies His “Father” is
the source of all Jesus says. Realizing
this, would you treat Jesus’ teachings as absolute truths? I would as “My God,” Jesus’ God, cannot
lie.
Jesus answered him, “The first
of all the commandments is: ‘Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is
one. And you shall love the Lord your
God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all
your strength.’ This is the first
commandment. And the second, like it, is
this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than
these.” So the scribe said to Him, “Well said,
Teacher, You have spoken the truth, for there is one God, and there is no other
but He.” Mark 12:29-32 (NKJV)
What to say, or what to do, in this time of uncertainty, is found in
Jesus’ teachings. Mark 12:29-32,
prioritizes them for us. We’re to love
God and our neighbor, and leaning not on our own understanding of the
[Scriptures] as we go.
“For God so loved the world that He
gave His only begotten Son, that whoever
believes in Him should not perish
but have everlasting life.” John
3:16 (NKJV)
“For I have not spoken on My own authority; but the
Father who sent Me gave Me a command, what I should say and what I should
speak.” You will find the comfort you seek
these days in Jesus’ teachings. I recommend
you read them, fill your heart with them so that you in turn can live
them. “Whoever believes in” Jesus
“should not perish but have everlasting life.” This is an amazing thing!!
Love your God and find ways to love/help your neighbor. It will comfort you both.
God bless.
In His Care… Jim
