From One Believer To Another

From One Believer to Another

If this is your first time visiting this blog, “Welcome!”

As you read, I pray you’ll not see me as being angry at anyone. Firm at times with some, I’ll agree with that. I know that no matter what a person has gone through, things they’ve said or done, or still doing for that matter, there’s a 50/50 chance of my having sought forgiveness for doing the exact same thing at one time or another. I know the battle is not against flesh and blood my friend.

Throughout this blog you will find me quoting things heard on the radio. You’ll not find the names of those who said these things in the posts. I do document their names, the date, time, and radio station call sign on my copy of the original document. I do not publish these details because our mission should be to expose the false teachings not to personally attack the person.

If you should continue reading my friend, you will find the Anthanasian Creed being exposed for what it is, a false doctrine. The word of God having the final say. My trusting in He who knows hears and sees all things, the God of the [Bible].

Telling

I believe that Jesus ascended to His God and Father. My focus is on Jesus and what He spoke. In John 20:17 (NKJV) Jesus said, “I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.” Jesus’s ascension to His God and Father is very well documented in the Bible. There’s no actual evidence of Jesus claiming to be God. The Anthanasian Creed made known “the Son is God” in AD 325. Your answer to the following question will be telling. Do you want to trust the doctrine of the “Trinity”? God bless. In His Care… Jim

Jews and Jesus

I’ve been hearing on the radio about speaking to Jews about Jesus. The short answer is, treat them the same way you would want them to treat you. The long answer is, make absolutely sure that you’re presenting Jesus just as laid out for us in the Scriptures and not from the viewpoint of the current generation. Personal testimonies regarding how you came to believe in Messiah Jesus, whether you are a Gentile or Jew, is a helpful tool. Always tell the truth about Jesus, yes even if you just quote verses of Scripture. God bless. In His Care… Jim

All Things End Well

One should avoid having to ponder if the Bible is meaningful today, because it most certainly is. The Bible is a book of real people, encountering a real God. The Bible is where you’ll find the story of Jesus, which cannot be shaken. It says don’t give the devil a foothold, because the devil is a liar “and the father of them,” John 8:44 (NKJV). What Jesus spoke then, shakes things up for us now and shows us the difference between things that are Christ-like and those that are not. The Bible is crystal clear as to how we are to treat others, and it’s based on how we treat Jesus’s teachings. The God of the Bible is sovereign, and for those that love Him, all things end well. God bless. In His Care… Jim

Telling Others The Truth About Jesus

I heard on the radio that you have to come to church committed to apply what you have heard. This would imply that as you make your way to church you should have your mind made up that everything that will be taught there is going to be helpful to you. Actually, there is some truth to this, and it all depends on your knowledge of who Jesus is. The question is, will what you’re about to hear be biblically based on Scripture alone, man’s understanding of Scripture, or a mixture of the two? I visit different churches and most of the time the message I hear is scripturally sound, and is most helpful to me. I’ve also heard messages that are lifting up “the Son is God,” and because I know the Bible doesn’t support it, it’s also helpful to me. If you spend any time at all on this blog you’ll see how I use it to expose the Anthanasian Creed for what it really is, a false doctrine. Even in that creed you’ll find things said about Jesus that are true, but don’t leave it at that, because it goes on to clearly state that unless one believes “the Son is God” one “cannot be saved.” So, having an understanding of who Jesus is based on Scripture alone, it doesn’t matter what’s being said about Jesus, in church or outside church, it’ll be helpful in telling others the truth about Jesus. God bless. In His Care… Jim

Speak Well About Jesus

Have you heard a reason given as to why the Scriptures can’t be trusted these days is the many translations of the Bible? I have come to know and believe that Paul the Apostle’s writings are helpful during these times. “What then? Only that in every way, whether in pretense or in truth, Christ is preached; and in this I rejoice, yes, and will rejoice” Philippians 1:18 (NKJV). There’s no better way to communicate the Scriptures, than to speak well about Jesus. God bless. In His Care… Jim

At All Time

By faith I accept the Bible as the word of God. I truly believe that Jesus ascended to His God and Father. It is obvious to me because it’s in the Bible. In John 20:17 (NKJV) Jesus said, “I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.” Consider the evidence of Jesus’s ascension to His God and Father. After reading John 20:17 for yourself, would you be willing to say that the Bible shows this to be true? I would. What Jesus said, will be true yesterday, today, and at all time. God bless. What Would That Mean For You?

I heard on the radio that if you believe someone is a man of God you should believe them. I wouldn’t say that. Man is fallible and easily misled. Falsehoods that are taught as true should not be believed by anybody. For example, the Anthanasian Creed clearly states that unless one believes “the Son is God” one “cannot be saved.” If one’s salvation depended on believing this, what would that mean for you? Would you have hope in “the Son is God”? Would you need to call those lifting it up, “a man of God”? I ask because biblically speaking believing in Christ Jesus, according to the Scriptures, is all one needs to secure their salvation. If one’s salvation hinges on believing “the Son is God,” then it wouldn’t matter what folks have to say these days, we’d all be doomed to hell’s fire. “The Son is God” only came to exist with the Anthanasian Creed, not because there is Biblical support for it. God bless. In His Care… Jim

Unless It Agrees

I heard on the radio that it’s essential in the church to say, “that’s wrong,” or “that’s right.” Simply, church goers should be openly thankful for the truth, while refuting things that contradict sound doctrine. This took me back to the days when I was terrified of speaking against the Anthanasian Creed. If you spend any time at all on this blog, you’ll see that’s no longer the case for me. The issue here is, who’s to say it’s “sound doctrine”? Speaking from experience, it’s not those teaching falsehoods as true. The fact is, unless it agrees with what has been clearly laid out for us in the Scriptures, it can’t be sound doctrine. God bless. In His Care… Jim

Without Diluting The Truth

I heard on the radio that there’s a way to understand the Bible called “the rule of first mention.” Simply, when you come across something mentioned in the Bible and you’re not clear as to what it’s talking about, go back and find where it was first mentioned in the Bible to gain context. In theory it will provide a helpful connection. I can see how that could be helpful, but it won’t be for those who are not willing to leave the Bible as is, the sole source. For example, to find the words “the Son is God,” one would have to go back to the Anthanasian Creed itself since you will not find them in the Bible. “The rule of first mention” in this case, then would only date back to AD 325. In John 20:17 (NKJV) Jesus said, “I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.” Without diluting the truth you’ve just read about Jesus’s ascension to His God and Father, you would not find “the Son is God” before AD 325. The tale of the Anthanasian Creed, and the first mention of “the Son is God,” go hand in hand. God bless. In His Care… Jim

When Telling Others

When telling others about Jesus, the last thing you want to do is misrepresent Him. If you encounter someone misrepresenting Jesus by lifting up “the Son is God,” even though they may believe they’re doing the right thing, make sure you remind yourself of what Jesus said in John 20:17. “I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.” John 20:17 (NKJV) The claims Jesus made are true. Letting Things Jesus Said Take Precendence

It has been decades since I intentionally attended a Sunday school classroom setting wanting to hear more about the tale of the Anthanasian Creed. I listened to those who knew more than I ever could have imagined about it. They explained particular events with such details, you would have thought it was an eyewitness account, and I quietly just sat through it all. Coming back to today, I’m going to change the set here, to let the things Jesus actually said take precedence. I will let His voice give evidence to the fact that “the Son is God” is meaningless. In John 20:17 (NKJV) Jesus said, “I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.” Thus, in keeping with letting things Jesus said take precedence, Jesus ascended to His God and Father. Something To Be Thankful For

When was the last time you thanked the food you’re about to eat, for showing up exactly when you least expected it to? With confidence, I’d give thanks to God. Beware of people formulating things as believable when there’s no actual biblical evidence to support them. For example, is the Anthanasian Creed’s “the Son is God” a fundamental truth for your belief today? If so, when was the last time you found actual evidence of it in the Bible? Speaking from experience, I’d say, never. There is no need to thank God for the Anthanasian Creed, birthed in AD 325, because it’s not something to be thankful for. God bless. In His Care… Jim

Not The God Of The Bible

The mere thought of Jesus contradicting Himself in the Bible terrifies me. For Him to say something truthful about the God of the Bible, only then to say something false about Him, that’s not the Jesus of the Bible. In John 17:3 (NKJV) Jesus said, “And that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.” I can safely say when Jesus said “You,” He spoke to God. “You” God, and He is “the only true God,” is Jesus’s God and Father. In John 20:17 (NKJV) this same Jesus said, “I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.” Jesus ascended to “You” God, “the only true God,” Jesus’s God and Father. “The Son is God,” is not the God of the Bible. Pleasing To God

In certainty the Anthanasian Creed declares, unless one believes “the Son is God” one “cannot be saved.” The problem is, that’s not in the Bible. If you want to know what’s pleasing to God, read the Bible. In short something that Jesus said in John 6:29 (NKJV): “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent.” Choosing to believe in the “sent” one, Christ Jesus, now that’s something that is pleasing to God. After Reading John 20:17

Jesus said to her, “Do not cling to Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father; but go to My brethren and say to them, ‘I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.’” John 20:17 (NKJV) After reading John 20:17, if you can’t say “the Son is God” is meaningless, then you’re saying what Jesus said is meaningless. Righteousness Is Forsaken

The Bible isn’t based on man’s understanding of anything. When I hear, “even though there’s no actual evidence of it being so in the Bible the evidence of it being so is,” I expect it to be referring to something that’s lifting up “the Son is God,” or the doctrine of the “Trinity.” It is absolutely true that there is no actual evidence to support either idea in the Bible. They evolved from the tale of the Anthanasian Creed alone. It's only reasonable to tell others about Jesus, but if it’s based on one having to believe “the Son is God,” righteousness is forsaken. Feeling Bad About Telling Others

I’m not against followers of the Anthanasian Creed but they’re wrong. Wrong, for not taking Jesus seriously. Enabling people to believe “the Son is God” and Jesus are the same, when the Bible clearly shows us that they’re anything else but. Jesus ascended to His God and Father, and it’s biblically impossible to prove otherwise. I have yet to walk away from a conversation feeling bad about telling others, the Anthanasian Creed shouldn’t have made its way into this century. Let us not forget that the problem here is, the Anthanasian Creed itself. God bless. In His Care… Jim

Don't Look At Me

I’m not going to compete with the Bible. In John 20:17 (NKJV) Jesus said: “I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.” Imagine, the Son of God Himself telling us He’s soon to ascend to His God and Father. Sounds like good news to me, and trustworthy at that. If you find yourself believing in or interested in Jesus, it is because God is leading you to that point, not a person, or book, or blog. Don’t look at me. Don’t believe because I, a man, write these things. Believe because the Bible tells you so. Jesus, the Son of God, is the centerpiece of God’s plan of salvation and God will continue to lead you to Him. God bless. In His Care… Jim

This Side of the Trinity?

I heard on the radio that Christians are to spread the gospel, being on this side of the “Trinity.” The speaker was implying that Christians need to believe in the “Trinity." How does that work for those who were first called Christians in the first century when then Anthanasian Creed that depicts “The Son is God” was birthed in AD 325? “And the disciples were first called Christians in Antioch.” Acts 11:26 (NKJV) The Anthanasian Creed is manmade, and most definitely on the wrong side of Jesus’s teachings. There’s no reason to believe that anyone has to believe the doctrine of the “Trinity,” in order to be a true follower of Christ Jesus. God bless. In His Care… Jim

Keep The Bible First

I heard on the radio that pastors are called to study, which makes me wonder what one’s calling should look like today. In many cases, they’re losing sight of biblical truths. When they conform to the ways of this world or teach falsehoods as true, it doesn’t paint a good a picture. For example, if you wanted to find something out about Jesus where should you go? You should be willing to keep the Bible first, including the biblical account of who Jesus is. Treat everything else as hearsay at best until proven otherwise by Scripture alone. Study the Bible to show yourself to be on the right side of Jesus’s teachings. Then give God thanks. God bless. In His Care… Jim

Jesus Never Committed A Sin

Those believing “the Son is God,” what are you justifying this with? Biblically speaking Jesus ascended to His God and Father, so it cannot be the Bible. In John 20:17 (NKJV) Jesus said, “I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.” The Bible includes a number of things said by Jesus, about Jesus by others, or linked directly to Jesus. I hear it all time on the radio/television that Jesus never committed a sin which is true. Jesus didn’t lie when He spoke of His pending ascension. The Bible is trustworthy as is. Hear Him!

Biblically speaking, teaching the Bible as absolutely true, is essential. Sadly, false teachers really believe what they’re saying. In the case of teaching that believing “the Son is God” is essential to one’s salvation, they’re not seeing that it’s a falsehood being taught as true. You could say that there are no absolute truths, and I would question if there being no absolutes truths, is an absolute truth? The further back you stand from the Anthanasian Creed’s “the Son is God,” and the more you fill the gap with faith in biblical truths, the better you’ll see “the Son is God” has absolutely nothing to do with Jesus. Let us not forget what the God of the Bible said about Jesus in Matthew 17:5 (NKJV): “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Hear Him!” God bless. In His Care… Jim

BUT GOD!

No one has to believe anything about Jesus if they don’t want to. Even though this is true, it’s not a good strategy. Biblically speaking, it’s all about having a relationship with Christ Jesus according to the Scriptures. The Bible is what it is, eternally true. The cares of this world are so deeply rooted in hatred today. Once you’re entrenched in that, nothing is honorable. BUT GOD! The God of the Bible’s ways are above ours. God sent His Son Jesus to not just save us for all eternity, but to teach us how to live a Godly life while we are in this world. In Mark 8:36 and 37 (NKJV) Jesus said, “For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?” Until one finds the strength to go against the flow of worldliness, they won’t find a ray of hope in a Godless society. Seeing The Anthanasian Creed For What It Is

The Anthanasian Creed depicts a method of salvation stating, unless one believes “the Son is God” one “cannot be saved.” If you evaluate the teachings and practices of Jesus, set forth for us in the Bible, you will see the Anthanasian Creed’s method is false. In John 20:17 (NKJV) Jesus said, “I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.” It is unreasonable to believe, after reading John 20:17, that Jesus didn’t ascend to His God and Father. Born In Bethlehem

Micah 5:2 (NKJV): “But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of you shall come forth to Me the One to be Ruler in Israel, whose goings forth are from of old, from everlasting.” Micah 5:4 (NKJV): “And He shall stand and feed His flock in the strength of the Lord, in the majesty of the name of the Lord His God.” It’s no secret who was born in Bethlehem, “the One to be Ruler in Israel” Micah 5:2. It was Jesus. The story of Jesus’s birth is heard throughout the world, particularly leading up to and including Christmas day. As the story of Jesus’s birth is told, please don’t neglect to mention that this same Jesus “shall stand and feed His flock in the strength of the Lord, in the majesty of the name of the Lord His God,” because this is also found in Micah 5:4. This biblical account should be told year round. “His God” in Micah 5:4, is referring to Jesus’s God and Father. Jesus, “The One to be Ruler in Israel,” said in John 20:17, “I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.” You won’t find “the Son is God” in the Hebrew Scriptures Old Testament, or in the New Testament. You can see that neither Micah 5:2,4 or John 20:17 support “the Son is God” having anything to do with Jesus being born in Bethlehem. God bless. In His Care… Jim

Let me remind you of what Jesus really said: “I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God” in John 20:17 (NKJV). Jesus ascended to His God and Father. It is biblically impossible to prove otherwise. It is unthinkable for me to say “the Son is God” is meaningful as this would suggest I turn my back to Jesus. “The Son is God,” is truly meaningless. How you treat the things Jesus said in the Bible matters. God bless. In His Care… Jim

Man's Additions To The Bible

If you believe the biblical account of who Jesus is, and you are a follower of Jesus, then you have to believe what the Bible says. Some believe Jesus claimed to be God in the Bible, when there’s no actual Biblical evidence of Him doing so. In John 20:17 (NKJV) Jesus said, “I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.” Jesus ascending to His God and Father is available for all to see in the Bible. This is not man’s understanding of this particular event, but rather Biblical evidence as laid out for us in the Scriptures. The biblical account of Jesus ascending to His God and Father, leaves those saying Jesus claimed to be God in the Bible, dumbfounded. Actually, speaking from experience, all they have to fall back on are man’s additions to the Bible. God bless. In His Care… Jim

Indifferent About The Bible

That They Come To Know Jesus

It shouldn’t surprise us that the Bible is said to be unreliable. Man has edited, revised, and written about it repeatedly. What does the Bible teach us? For me, it is all that I need to know about who Jesus really is. It would be an act of disobedience towards God, if I were to believe that man understands the Bible clearly. Only the Bible as is, holds God’s truths. I can’t do, what only God can do. God bless. In His Care… Jim P.S. This is my prayer for someone very close to me. That they come to know Jesus.

A Turn For The Worse

You can eliminate the doctrine of the “Trinity” by saying and believing, Jesus ascended to His God and Father. In John 20:17 (NKJV) Jesus said, “I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.” When the Bible isn’t taken seriously, everything takes a turn for the worse. God bless. The God Of The Bible

Jesus said to her, “Do not cling to Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father; but go to My brethren and say to them, ‘I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.’” John 20:17 (NKJV) This makes it clear that the God of the Bible is Jesus’s God and Father. You can claim many paths to this same God, but if you’re not obeying what the Bible says, you’re claim is a false one. It would be easy to prove that numerous religions, with all their differences, exist in the world today. It would be just as easy to prove there is only one way to the God of the Bible. Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” John 14:6 (NKJV) To believe in this same Jesus, according to the Scriptures, is the only way to the God of the Bible. God bless. In His Care… Jim

One Hundred Percent Of The Time

“He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he shall go out no more. I will write on him the name of My God and the city of My God, the New Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God. And I will write on him My new name.” Revelation 3:12 (NKJV) We’re all prone to make mistakes, but when it comes to the Scriptures, the Bible warns us not to undermine them. For example, in Revelation 3:12 Jesus is speaking and we know that at this time He has already ascended to His God and Father. Therefore, the one looking to make “the Son is God” believable, would have to undermine Jesus’s use of the words “My God” in order for them to do so. Biblically speaking this individuals’ teachings on this shouldn’t be taken seriously. In John 20:17 (NKJV) Jesus said, “I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to my God and your God.” Even though Jesus went on to say “My God” four more times in Revelation 3:12, that He said it just once in John 20:17 should be enough. Jesus ascended to His God and Father, and the Bible supports it one hundred percent of the time. God bless. In His Care… Jim

Human Wisdom?

How does one defend “the Son is God” today? With the many conversations I have had concerning the matter, I know, it’s defenseless. Those relying on the tale of “the Son is God,” instead of trusting the biblical account of Jesus’s ascension to His God and Father, are without doubt trusting human wisdom. If they’re not careful, human wisdom could end up being the source of their belief. God bless. In His Care… Jim

Handed More Reasons To Believe

Jesus ascended to His God and Father. This is biblical. Therefore, whenever I hear “the Son is God” being lifted up, I’m handed more reasons to believe that it has absolutely nothing to do with Jesus. I’ve come to know that those believing the doctrine of a “Trinity,” where “the Son is God” is derived, can’t explain it. To the, it is either a mystery now, or something they’ll “understand in the hereafter.” What is the sense in telling others about Jesus today, if you’re going to tell them unless they believe “the Son is God” they “cannot be saved”? The Anthanasian Creed is the problem here. God bless. In His Care… Jim

Effective Biblical Teachings

Is it correct to say that “the Son is God” and Jesus are the same? In John 20:17 (NKJV) where Jesus said, “I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.” This verse shatters the idea of them ever being the same. Jesus ascended to His God and Father, and believing this to be true, is to live by the truth. Teaching others that they are the same, however, is to cut them off from effective biblical teachings. The Encounter and the Message

The tomb is empty. Christ is risen indeed! He then encounters Mary Magdelene, and by all biblical accounts she is the first to see the resurrected Christ. This is a real encounter folks, and one of great importance to all followers of Christ Jesus. This particular encounter with Mary Magdalene is found in John 20:17 (NKJV) where Jesus said to her, “Do not cling to Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father; but go to My brethren and say to them, ‘I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.’” That is Jesus’s message, “I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.” Any claim to Jesus being God in the Bible will be proven to be false, because Jesus made it clear in John 20:17. Jesus knows that He’s about to ascend to His God and Father. When it comes to any claim to Jesus being God, there are only two choices. Trust what the Bible says, or man’s interpretation of what the Bible says. God bless. In His Care… Jim

The Risen Christ

After this, Jesus, knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the Scripture might be fulfilled, said, “I thirst!” Now a vessel full of sour wine was sitting there; and they filled a sponge with sour wine, put it on hyssop, and put it to His mouth. So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit. John 19:28-30 (NKJV) Jesus accomplished what He was sent to do, “It is finished.” That is so complete that all we have to do now is to receive it. Our salvation hinges on believing in Christ Jesus according to the Scriptures. He died for us, and He is coming again. I thank God for the empty tomb, and equally so, that I can read all about it in the Bible today. You have to love the Bible, with all that it proves. I pray God that you trust the eternal destiny of your soul to the risen Christ. Simply, “That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:9 (NKJV) God bless. In His Care… Jim

The Tale Of "the Son is God"

I heard on the radio that the religious leaders confronting Jesus in the first century branded Jesus an imposter. How about today? Are the teachings of religious leader’s contrary to what Jesus taught? If they teach “the Son is God” as true then what they are teaching is contrary to what Jesus taught. Scripture doesn’t say anything about “the Son is God.” Nobody would talk about it today, if not for man’s mishandling of the Scriptures. The Bible shows us that the tale of “the Son is God” is contrary to Jesus’s teachings. God bless. In His Care… Jim

Jesus's Ascension

The Anthanasian Creed came to us by way of man in AD 325, and with it came “the Son is God.” Those believing “the Son is God” will be unable to prove that the Bible supports Jesus being subject to the doctrines of men. They should trust the biblical account of Jesus’s ascension to His God and Father in John 20:17 (NKJV) where Jesus said, “I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.” If the Jesus they’re speaking of is the same Jesus that has ascended to His God and Father, and to their God and Father, then they should leave John 20:17 as it is. A Difference Maker?

I heard that the difference between Christianity and all other religions is a “Trinitarian God.” If you believe Jesus is “the way, the truth, and the life” (John 14:6 NKJV), then don’t take their theory of a “Trinitarian God” seriously. The speaker would have been better off saying those believing in a “Trinitarian God,” are a religion unto themselves. We know that Jesus ascended to His God and Father (John 20:17). The fact that they singled out a “Trinitarian God” as being a difference maker, shows their theory has absolutely nothing to do with Jesus. Taking it one step further, it has nothing to do with the all-knowing God of the Bible, who is Jesus’s God, and Father. God bless. In His Care… Jim

And To My God

I heard it’s not being done right if it’s not by the word of God. I like it. Should those who believe “the Son is God” today even be heard saying such a thing? Biblically speaking, other than avoiding it altogether nothing about “the Son is God” is right. If I were to live the rest of my days here on earth without ever mentioning the Anthanasian Creed again, I’d know that my salvation would be secure in Christ Jesus. The word of God endures forever. There is nothing anyone can do without Jesus and that is what it means to be found right by the word of God. Jesus exposed “the Son is God” as not speaking of Himself when He said “I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God” in John 20:17 (NKJV). Unless one can prove that it wasn’t the right thing for Jesus to say “and to My God,” I’d stay clear of the Anthanasian Creed’s “the Son is God.” God bless. In His Care… Jim

It's Time To Silence The Conversation

It’s typical for false teachers to believe they’re saying something truthful about Jesus when they’re not. For anything to be taught as believable today, especially about Jesus, one should first be absolutely sure it’s true. There are no exceptions as to how we’re to treat the Bible. It’s to be left well enough alone as is. The battle here folks is between known biblical truths and a specific falsehood being taught as true today. I can only imagine today the number of Pastors, Priests, Teachers, and those choosing to believe them, saying “the Son is God” is believable. Don’t get me wrong here. Every single one of them could very well be saved according to the Scriptures. “That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:9 (NKJV) Romans 15:6 (NKJV) states: “That you may with one mind and with one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.” When Paul speaks of “the Lord Jesus” in Romans 10:9, he knows “The God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,” his God and Father and Jesus’s God and Father are the same. Therefore, knowing that the one confessing with their mouth “the Lord Jesus” and believes “in their heart that God has raised Him from the dead” is saved, wouldn’t you say it’s time to silence the conversation of “the Son is God”? Let us always remember that not long after “God has raised” Jesus “from the dead,” Jesus said, “I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God” (John 20:17 NKJV). God bless. Biblical Views Matter

Throughout the day, we have to make choices about things that conflict with the Bible and those that don’t. There are only two views to be had here folks. It’s either a biblical or a worldly view. That’s it! Biblically speaking the one that loves Jesus’s teachings, will love their neighbor the same way they know that Jesus loves them. They’ll avoid giving folks reason to believe anything contrary to Jesus’s teachings, while at the same time showing them the significance of abiding in those teachings. Jesus is the answer to everything today. Let us remember that biblical views matter. There’s a right and a wrong way to handle everything. That’s how you will be found on the right side of Jesus’s teachings. God bless. In His Care… Jim

Saving Faith

The Bible is nothing less than the inspired word of God. I’ve heard different views on what the Bible says, but its purpose remains the same. These two people, both confessing/believing that Jesus is the Son of God. Scripturally speaking born again believers in Christ Jesus. Would either one of them be able to say that the other is not saved according to the Scriptures?

No Mystery Here Folks

Why would anyone expect the Bible to confound the truth? Would you say to the one confessing/believing that Jesus is the Son of God, saved according to the Scriptures, unless one believes “the Son is God” they “cannot be saved”? Here’s the problem. Those saying such a thing, and they’re totally unaware of it, are the one’s confounding the truth. What is there to gain by saying to the one that’s saved according to the Scriptures, unless they believe “the Son is God” they “cannot be saved”? As one who’s not ashamed to tell others about Jesus, I’d say the Anthanasian Creed’s false method of salvation is the most damaging piece of work ever written. The “Trinity” is often spoken of as a mystery. The Anthanasian Creed and the doctrine of the “Trinity” go hand in hand. There is no mystery here folks, the Anthanasian Creed shouldn’t have made its way into this century. God bless. In His Care… Jim

Not Something You Want To Do

What would you be looking for in a local church? How about faith that the preacher would teach the Bible properly? Would that faith be something you’d be looking to discover on your own, or would you just take someone else’s word for it for the sake of time? I ask because there’s a lot of falsehoods being taught as true around the world these days. For example, I heard “the church was bought and paid for by the blood of God the Son.” My first thought after hearing “the blood of God the Son” was that it’s not biblical. The one who actually shed His blood on the cross, the Son of God, Christ Jesus, has ascended to His God and Father (John 20:17). The Anthanasian Creed states: unless one believes “the Son is God” they “cannot be saved.” Therefore, teaching “the Son is God” and “the blood of God the Son” as believable, is not something you want to do and should be avoided altogether. It’s the biblically correct thing to do. Jesus’s second coming is nearer to us today than it was yesterday, so don’t look to anyone or anything else, but Jesus. God bless. In His Care… Jim

Faith In Christ Jesus Alone

I know all I need to know about the Anthanasian Creed. Other than on this blog, I have no desire to even mention it. Since the beginning of this blog, to the best of my recollection, I have heard or read something new to me about it on three separate occasions. The Anthanasian Creed itself is enough for me to prove that it never should have made its way into this century. Although I don’t initiate conversations about the Anthanasian Creed outside this blog, it doesn’t keep me from speaking to it when someone else does. With me, it’s the gospel of Jesus Christ or bust. Faith in Christ Jesus, as laid out for us in the Bible alone, secures one’s salvation. Just to remind everyone here the Anthanasian Creed states: unless one believes “the Son is God” they “cannot be saved.” If you believe “the Son is God,” your trust is in your own understanding. Just as you can’t blame the Bible for getting Jesus wrong, you can’t blame false teachers for believing falsehoods being taught by them as true. God bless. In His Care… Jim

Why should anyone teach Jesus’s ascension to His God and Father as true? How about, for their own sake or for a biblical view of who Jesus is, which can only work for the good of civilization.

It's In The Bible

The Bible doesn’t actually say “the Son is God.” Go to the Scriptures and find this out for yourselves. Have your mind set on looking into the Bible alone to see if it actually says “the Son is God.” Avoid man’s understanding of Scripture. Teaching “the Son is God” as believable will always be a weak spot. Those lifting up the Anthanasian Creed are willing to believe that it states Jesus is the “second person” of a “Trinity.” Thus, they make known their belief and say/teach this as believable, wrongly I might add. Biblically speaking they’re actually speaking against Jesus’s teachings. Did not Jesus say “I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God” in John 20:17 (NKJV)? Of course He did. Let’s all remember, it’s in the Bible. God bless. In His Care… Jim

Jesus said to her, “Do not cling to Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father; but go to My brethren and say to them, ‘I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.’” John 20:17 (NKJV) The Bible proves that there was a time, when Jesus knew, He would ascend to His God and Father. John 20:17, is most helpful here. The Bible also proves, in another situation, Jesus doesn’t know that day and hour. “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father,” Mark 13:32 (NKJV), is most helpful here. Interested in finding something out about Jesus, the Bible is most helpful. God bless. In His Care… Jim

The Bible, As It Will Always Be

The Bible, as it will always be, is a story of redemption. It isn’t leading anyone to believe falsehoods. The fact of the matter is, the Anthanasian Creed itself is a problem. It never should have made its way into this century. At issues is the tale of the Anthanasian Creed since its inception, the tale of its followers teaching and perpetuating it. I remember well, being terrified of speaking against the Anthanasian Creed’s false method of salvation. By the grace of God, for some time now, that’s not the case anymore. Since that time, I have come to see the tale of the Anthanasian Creed for what it really is. It prepares folks to tolerate known biblical falsehoods. It is not the source, because that dubious distinction belongs to the Anthanasian Creed alone which declares: unless one believes “the Son is God” one “cannot be saved.” For example, those teaching “the Son is God” as believable today, whatever they have to say about it, supersedes everything Jesus accomplished in the first century. “The Son is God” only came to exist with the Anthanasian Creed, not because there is Biblical support for it. The tale of the Anthanasian Creed, is where its followers spend the majority of their time defending it. Thus, its followers tolerate the teaching of “the Son is God,” and not the very thing proving it to be false. I’m not talking about gaining membership of a local church here folks, believing what they believe. I’m talking about one’s salvation. What one must believe in order to be saved according to the Scriptures. If you believe “the Son is God,” it is not too late to face the truth that Jesus is the Son of God. The Bible, as it will always be, is a story of redemption. God bless. In His Care… Jim

If It's Biblical, Be Encouraged

No one should say there is actual evidence of Jesus claiming to be God in the Bible, because in fact, there isn’t any. Let’s look at the Biblical evidence concerning the matter. In John 20:17 (NKJV) Jesus said, “I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.” If it’s biblical, and Jesus’s ascension to His God and Father most certainly is, be encouraged by it. Let every other person be a doubter, who challenges Jesus’s ascension to His God and Father. God bless. In His Care… Jim

The Trinity In Action?

And John bore witness, saying, “I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and He remained upon Him.” John 1:32 (NKJV) I heard a speaker say that in John 1:32, John the Baptist “Saw the trinity in action, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.” Every time a verse of Scripture is singled out as showing “the Son is God” and Jesus are the same, John 20:17 brings that false claim to a screeching halt - “I am ascending to My Father,” “and to My God.” If it’s about the doctrine of the “Trinity” folks, it has absolutely nothing to do with Jesus. Please trust the Biblical account of what John saw that day, which is available for all to read in the Bible. God bless. In His Care… Jim

In John 20:17 (NKJV) Jesus said, “I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.” If that’s any indication that Jesus ascended to His God and Father, then it’s time to put the Anthanasian Creed’s “the Son is God” to rest.

Thank God For That

If you consider one’s preaching as having authority, would you think everything they’re saying is true? I ask because there’s a lot preaching going on these days, in a multitude of venues, and there’s every biblical reason to believe it’s not all true. In John 20:17 (NKJV) Jesus said, “I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.” From a Biblical perspective John 20:17 is clear. Jesus ascended to His God and Father. I hope that you can say when the Bible speaks of Jesus’s ascension, it is with authority. Christ Jesus is risen, and He has ascended to His God and Father. I say, thank God for that. God bless. The Truth Shall Make You Free

When teaching falsehoods as true today, some are going to like it, others won’t. Those teaching falsehoods as true today, along with those following them, aren’t focused on the truth. The Bible gives us instructions on what to do, and what not to do. Play it safe and trust the Bible wholeheartedly. Once you trust the Bible, no matter what may come your way, “the truth shall make you free” (John 8:32 NKJV). God bless. In His Care… Jim

It's Absolutely Believable

Do you believe that “the Son is God” and Jesus are the same? Academically speaking it should only be taught as hypothetical. Biblically speaking you can be sure of John 20:17 (NKJV) where Jesus said, “I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.” What would you want others to know about Jesus’s ascension to His God and Father? It’s well documented and available for all to read in the Bible, and it’s absolutely believable. If you’re teaching “the Son is God” and Jesus are the same, you should know its support system is hypothetical. Jesus ascended to His God and Father (John 20:17), and it is biblically impossible to prove otherwise. God bless. In His Care… Jim

Who Shall Perish Everlastingly?

What you’re about to read has absolutely nothing to do with the Biblical account of who Jesus is but rather, a particular falsehood that’s being taught as true today. The Anthanasian Creed states: “Whosoever will be saved, before all things, it is necessary that he hold the catholic (i. e. , universal, (Christian) faith. Which faith except every one do keep whole and undefiled without doubt he shall perish everlastingly.” It goes on to state unless one believes everything recorded within that creed, which certainly includes “the Son is God,” they “cannot be saved.” Consider who this implies “shall perish everlastingly” for not believing “the Son is God.” Keep in mind that this particular false method of salvation dates back to, AD 325. Do we disregard the salvation of born-again believers in Christ Jesus, who actually walked and talked with Jesus? I’m not talking about those of us having access to the Bible today but rather the apostles John, Peter and Paul just to name a few. Seriously, does their salvation hinge on them believing in something that appeared centuries later? There’s no margin for error here folks, because nothing could have been made any clearer for us. According to the there is no salvation, outside believing “the Son is God.” The closing sentence of that creed reads as followed: “This is the catholic (Christian) faith; which except you believe faithfully and firmly, you cannot be saved.” The followers of the Anthanasian Creed would have you believing that there is actual biblical evidence of “the Son is God” and Jesus being the same. There is not, but if there was, that would mean everything recorded in the Bible is meaningless. God bless. In His Care… Jim

Not That Jesus?

Is this Jesus you’re talking about the same Jesus, after His death burial and resurrection, that ascended to His God and Father? I ask because one would have to bypass John 20:17, or not be aware of it all, to say He’s “Not that Jesus.” God Bless. In His Care… Jim

Would Your Input Be Biblical?

Imagine connecting with a group of people who seek the truth about Jesus and you’re discussing the doctrine of the “Trinity.” Would your input be Biblical? If you understood that the Bible was clear about Jesus’s ascension to His God and Father (John 20:17), as I do, you’d know “the Son is God” only came to exist with the Anthanasian Creed. There is not Biblical support for it. God bless. In His Care… Jim

Hence The Expression

In AD 325 the Anthanasian Creed encountered opposition. The Anthanasian Creed is a belief on a trinitarian doctrine, hence the expression “the Son is God.” Today, its followers are actually being falsely led to believe that “the Son is God” and Jesus are the same. If you’re not careful, you could be found on the wrong side of Jesus’s teachings concerning the matter. The Bible is trustworthy as is. In John 20:17 (NKJV) Jesus said, “I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.” After reading what Jesus said in John 20:17, I find it refreshing to say that Jesus’s God and Father and my God and Father are the same. It’s Biblical. God bless. In His Care… Jim

Consider where absolute truths concerning Jesus’s accomplishments in the first century are found. Wouldn’t that be as they are laid out for us in the Bible? Of course they would. You can’t have it both ways. You can’t say the Bible is trustworthy as is, and then allow for man’s understanding of Scripture to take precedence. It would be heretical doctrine if salvation hinges on the works of those not mentioned in the Bible.

A Call To Follow Jesus

Biblically speaking the words “Follow Me” is a call to follow Jesus. Consider for a moment what one must believe in order to be saved according to the Scriptures. Did you find yourself recalling the tale of the Anthanasian Creed? How about John 3:16, or “there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12 NKJV). Were any of these the first thing that came to mind? Maybe you were reminded of what first led you to believe in Christ Jesus. Regardless of what you’ve been taught or told, the important thing is to follow Jesus according to the Scriptures. God bless. In His Care… Jim

The Risen Christ Jesus

How much of what’s being said about the risen Christ Jesus today is gospel? Don’t be fooled by the many falsehoods being taught as true these days, because the only thing that will pass the test of time is what the Bible says about Jesus. The real gospel is that the risen Christ Jesus did in fact ascend to His God and Father. The Anthanasian Creed states: unless one believes “the Son is God” one “cannot be saved.” Make no mistake, this particular falsehood is man-made. Therefore, the Son of God, Jesus, and the risen Christ Jesus are the same. It is time to put the Anthanasian Creed’s “the Son is God” to rest. God bless. In His Care… Jim

How Then Can One believe?

Biblically speaking, Jesus’s ascension to His God and Father is meaningful. Consider the ramifications of having no recorded evidence of Jesus’s ascension. It would open the door for someone to make assumptions about Jesus’s fate. Since there is recorded evidence of Jesus actually saying, “I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God” (John 20:17 NKJV), how then can one believe that “the Son is God” and Jesus are the same? God bless. In His Care… Jim

"The Son is God" is Man-Made

It’s natural for followers of the Anthanasian Creed to say “the Son is God.” However, they should avoid offering their opinion concerning the matter, because it is man-made. We can clearly see that “the Son is God” is man-made because it takes man’s understanding of the Scriptures to construct it. There’s no actual evidence of Jesus claiming God in the Bible, leaving every reason to believe “the Son is God” is man-made. If you are curious about “the Son is God,” here’s something you should know about Jesus. He ascended to His God and Father. Therefore, “the Son is God” and Jesus cannot be the same. God bless. With That Said

I often hear about the time spent on preparing sermons. In some cases, due to unexpected circumstances, none at all. For the most part, however, I’ve come to learn that time has been set aside during the week to piece the sermon together. Drawing from things learned at Seminary, is often used to establish the credibility of the preparer. There are a number of pastors and teachers today with over 40 plus years of experience to draw from. In John 20:17 (NKJV) Jesus said, “I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.” With that said, how long did it take for you to see that Jesus was about to ascend to His God and Father? God bless. In His Care… Jim

I heard that “Jesus is either a liar, lunatic, or He’s Lord.” Jesus is Lord! When two or more are gathered together in Jesus’s name, they can rightfully say, “our Lord Jesus Christ.” “That you may with one mind and with one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Romans 15:6 (NKJV)

Jesus Claiming To Be God In The Bible?

How can anyone not see that Jesus is speaking of ascending to His God and Father in John 20:17? Other than Satan who does not want anyone seeing it at all, I would say it is because of one of two things. For one, some folks just do not have time for Jesus in their life today. I pray God that they find it soon. Second, they are just not willing to change, believing they have been preaching the word of God all along. For example, those believing “the Son is God,” believe “someone” has actually found evidence of Jesus claiming to be God in the Bible. Here’s the problem with that, in John 20:17 (NKJV) Jesus said “I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.” As you can see, we can directly link the ascension of Jesus to His God and Father, to something Jesus actually said in the Bible. Who then, is the source of this so-called “evidence” of Jesus claiming to be God in the Bible? We can eliminate Jesus as the source because it contradicts Jesus’s teachings. God bless. Get The Truth You Need

Do supporters of the Anthanasian Creed really want the truth? Try revealing the truth to them, and see where their loyalty lies. It is an undeniable fact, that Jesus ascended to His God and Father. The Bible is clear concerning the repercussions of teaching falsehoods as true. As one who is not ashamed to tell others about Jesus, proving that “the Son is God” is meaningless ideology will not be a problem. Get the truth you need, concerning the matter, in John 20:17. I use the New King James Version (NKJV) of the Bible. God bless. In His Care… Jim

What Part Of Grace?

Is the doctrine you learned meant to last? Would you call the things Jesus said in the Bible genuine? If the Bible shows something cannot be true, would you teach it as a heretical doctrine? We have to take scriptures seriously. We cannot choose which scriptures to believe and which to ignore. Man can add whatever they like to any falsehood that is being taught as true today. When they add Jesus’s name to them though, as if the Bible supports it, they will be proven false with scriptures. In John 20:17 (NKJV), Jesus said, “I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.” Here is an honest question that deserves an honest answer. After reading what Jesus said in John 20:17, would you say Jesus’s God and Father and your God and Father are the same? Yes, I would definitely say they are. What part of grace, allows for not taking Jesus seriously? God bless. In His Care… Jim

Believe In Christ Jesus

Jesus ascended to His God and Father. We know that’s true, or did someone prove it to be false in AD 325? Back then, unless one believes “the Son is God” one “cannot be saved” was first introduced to the world. It’s found in what’s known to us today as, the Anthanasian Creed. Its purpose, however, is to show that “the Son is God” and Jesus are the same. Biblically speaking this is false, something made-up after the fact. Actually, it eradicates the biblical account of Jesus’s, virgin birth, death, burial, and resurrection. There is a constancy to what one must believe in order to be saved according to the Scriptures. Believe in Christ Jesus, as laid out for us in the Scriptures. God bless. In His Care… Jim

The Infallibility Of The Bible

There’s only one way to prove the infallibility of the Bible, and it is not by using man’s understanding of who Jesus is. One can be right about something they’re saying about Jesus, only to complete the phrase by saying something wrong about Jesus. For example, one could say “Jesus is the Son of God,” and then follow it with “the second person of the Trinity.” Some would say they see no problem with that, but biblically speaking they’d be wrong. The Bible tells us Jesus is the Son of God, while the basis of “the Son is God” can only be found in man’s understanding of the Scriptures. The only way to prove the infallibility of the Bible, is by using Scripture alone. Jesus ascended to His God and Father, and its biblically impossible to prove otherwise. I guess that would actually depend on how infallible one see’s the Bible. I certainly see it as infallible; Jesus having ascended to His God and Father that is. God bless. In His Care… Jim

The Bible Tells Us So

The problem with false teachers is that they think they are right. You won’t find those teaching “the Son is God” as true today, claiming to be false teachers. They will, however, admit to there being no actual evidence of Jesus claiming to be God in the Bible. The fact that Jesus ascended to His God and Father, something that has been clearly laid out for us in the Scriptures, proves that Jesus claiming to be God in the Bible is man-made. The one teaching “the Son is God” and Jesus are the same today, only has something false to fall back on. There’s every reason to believe that Jesus ascended to His God and Father, because the Bible tells us so. Where Does The Evidence Lead?

The Anthanasian Creed states: “Whosoever will be saved, before all things, it is necessary that he hold the catholic (i. e. , universal, (Christian) faith. Which faith except every one do keep whole and undefiled without doubt he shall perish everlastingly.” “So the Father is God, the Son is God, and the Holy Ghost is God.” “This is the catholic (Christian) faith; which except you believe faithfully and firmly, you cannot be saved.” I, James Masterson, firmly believe, and faithfully confess that my Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus, is the Son of God. The Anthanasian Creed’s “the Son is God,” is meaningless. Where does the evidence lead? Is it to my being saved according to the Scriptures, or facing the consequences as laid out for us within the Anthanasian Creed? God bless. In His Care… Jim

Not My Will

In Luke 22:42 (NKJV) Jesus said, “Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done.” When you know that what the Bible actually tells us about Jesus is trustworthy, you’ll see why “the Son is God” is meaningless. When Jesus speaks of the “Father,” in the Bible, He’s referring to His God and Father (John 20:17). Therefore, by Jesus saying “not My will” in Luke 22:42, followed by the words “but Yours, be done,” He cannot be speaking of Himself when He says “Yours.” This clearly shows that Jesus and “the Son is God” are not the same. Do you know what it would take to make “the Son is God” meaningful? Its only life line is to keep it as far away from the biblical account of who Jesus is. God bless. In His Care… Jim

Truths About Jesus

If you’re really interested in truths about Jesus, limit your search to just one thing, the Bible. Making it priority number one is the proper way to get to the truths. Appreciate that the last entry of the New Testament was recorded near the end of the first century. Nothing has changed, even today. The Bible speaks well about Jesus and without it, we’d all be left to our own understanding. Unfortunately, some continue leaning on their own understanding of some things in spite of having access to the Bible today. “The Son is God” for example, is not biblical. God bless. Don't Rely On Human Wisdom

Consider the attitude of the person that’s saying there are no absolutes truths. By them saying that there are no absolute truths, wouldn’t that constitute an absolute truth? Of course it would. How about the pastor or teacher saying they teach the word of God, yet they believe “the Son is God”? Wouldn’t they actually be relying on human wisdom? Of course they would. Why Push The Point Further?

We can put our trust in this Biblical fact, “Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God.” 1 John 4:15 (NKJV) Why would anyone say that it is not true? Someone could say that it sounds like something from the Bible, and not be interested in knowing more about it. Another could show interest, but they believe, unless one believes “the Son is God” they cannot be saved. What they’re saying is, no one is going to be saved unless they believe what they believe regardless of what the Bible says. Scripturally speaking “Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God,” is saved. Why would anyone push the point further? God bless. In His Care… Jim
