From One Believer To Another

From One Believer to Another

If this is your first time visiting this blog, “Welcome!”

As you read, I pray you’ll not see me as being angry at anyone. Firm at times with some, I’ll agree with that. I know that no matter what a person has gone through, things they’ve said or done, or still doing for that matter, there’s a 50/50 chance of my having sought forgiveness for doing the exact same thing at one time or another. I know the battle is not against flesh and blood my friend.

Throughout this blog you will find me quoting things heard on the radio. You’ll not find the names of those who said these things in the posts. I do document their names, the date, time, and radio station call sign on my copy of the original document. I do not publish these details because our mission should be to expose the false teachings not to personally attack the person.

If you should continue reading my friend, you will find the Anthanasian Creed being exposed for what it is, a false doctrine. The word of God having the final say. My trusting in He who knows hears and sees all things, the God of the [Bible].

I Highly Recommend Not Using The Word Of God To Create Falsehoods

Jesus said to her, “Do not cling to Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father; but go to My brethren and say to them, ‘I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.’” John 20:17 (NKJV) While listening to the local “Christian” radio station, I heard, taken straight from John 20:17, “I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.” The speaker then went on to say, "That’s why Jesus can say Father.” What the speaker failed to mention was that Jesus also said, in John 20:17, “And to My God and your God.” This is a common theme with followers of the Anthanasian Creed, quoting Scripture but failing to acknowledge that Jesus calls God His God, “My God,” in them (Matthew 27:46 and Revelation 3:12 as well). Jesus calling the all-knowing God of the Bible “My God” His God in these three verses (7 times total) isn’t a cultural tradition, it’s a Biblical fact. This time of the year, Micah’s prophecy (Micah 5:1-5) of Jesus’ birth in Bethlehem gets a lot of attention. We do not know the actual [calendar] day of Jesus’ birth. What we do know is that in Micah 5:4 (NKJV), Jesus “shall stand and feed His flock in the strength of the Lord, in the majesty of the name of the Lord His God.” Key words are, “the Lord His God.” After two thousand plus years, since Jesus’ birth in Bethlehem, one would think Micah’s prophecy of Jesus feeding “His flock in the strength of the Lord, in the majesty of the name of the Lord His God,” would get an equal amount of attention. Not so. Somehow the words “His God” in Micah 5:4, referring to Jesus’ God, seem out of place. We don’t have to look far, as to why. The Anthanasian Creeds believe it [or else] “the Son is God” to be saved false method of salvation, has taken precedence. The Bible is not the friend of false things, including the Anthanasian Creeds, unless one believes “the Son is God” one cannot be saved. This addition to God’s plan of salvation, is simply false.

No Title

When it comes to false doctrines, except for those teaching them, the Bible is not the problem.

Read John 20:17 For Yourself

While listening to the local “Christian” radio station, I heard, “Some of the craziest people you will ever meet are those not treating the Bible sufficient as is.” Jesus said something in the first century that I haven’t forgotten. Not that I was actually there when He said it, because I wasn’t. Let’s just say, the Bible speaks for itself. What He said was this: Jesus said to her, “Do not cling to Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father; but go to My brethren and say to them, ‘I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.’” John 20:17 (NKJV). The best way to put the Anthanasian Creeds [false] method of salvation to rest, was to read John 20:17 for myself. Carefully reading John 20:17, the one believing Jesus is the Son of God would know Jesus ascended to His God and Father. In my mind, some of the craziest teachings known to man have come from those supporting the Anthanasian Creed.

Many Reject The God Of The Bible

While listening to the local “Christian” radio station I heard, from one believing “the Son is God,” “Many people reject the God of the Bible the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.” You will find these exact same words “the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,” in 2 Corinthians 1:3, 2 Corinthians 11:31, Ephesians 1:3, Colossians 1:3, and 1 Peter 1:3 (NKJV). “The Son is God” comes from the Anthanasian Creed, and not the Bible. The question becomes, who is rejecting the God of the Bible?

Good Deeds

There aren’t enough good deeds to be done that could earn one’s entry into the kingdom of God. Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” John 14:6 (NKJV)

To Know Correctly

“And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.” John 17:3 (NKJV) I often wonder how many of those confessing Jesus is the Son of God are content when hearing that “You, the only true God,” the God of the Bible, died. The mere thought of it, is terrifying to me. If the goal is to know correctly “You, the only true God,” evade the Anthanasian Creeds trail into the twenty first century.

A Major Mistake

Jesus said to her, “Do not cling to Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father; but go to My brethren and say to them, ‘I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.’” John 20:17 (NKJV) John 20:17 is clear, Jesus’ God and Father and Jesus’ brethren’s God and Father are one and the same. Therefore, it is Biblically impossible for Jesus and the Anthanasian Creeds “the Son is God” to be, one and the same. As minor as this [single] difference is between “the Son of God” and “the Son is God,” changing “of” to read “is,” becomes a major mistake when teaching unless one believes “the Son is God” one cannot be saved. Scripturally speaking, you’ll find that nothing works when teaching the doctrine of the trinity as a way of salvation.

Setting The Record Straight

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ.” Ephesians 1:3 (NKJV) While listening to the local “Christian” radio station, I heard, “Jesus, He’s our heavenly Father.” The speaker on the radio should have said, because Ephesians 1:3 is clear, Jesus’ God and Father, He’s our heavenly Father. If you’re looking to set the record straight, as to who Jesus is, avoid the Anthanasian Creeds [false] way of salvation. You’ll be forced to say [incorrect] things about the Biblical Jesus, if you don’t.

Rooted In God's Word

If the goal is to deliver the unchanging word of God to an ever-changing world, don’t subscribe to man’s understanding of the Scriptures because they are subject to change. The Anthanasian Creeds false method of salvation is man’s exploitation of the Scriptures, and is simply not Biblical, and challenges the unchanging word of God. If your faith is rooted in God’s word, be thankful.

Ten Year Anniversary Of This Blog

[ANTHANASIAN CREED]: When addressing the Anthanasian Creed [properly] one should downgrade its method of salvation and not the person who has been falsely led to believe it. Any attempt to lift up the Anthanasian Creed, only adds to the works of the Anthanasian Creed. On the other hand the inspired word of God points us directly towards Jesus. The Bible is 100% trustworthy as is, and should be left well enough alone. [MASTER KINDNESS]: If I could actually walk with Jesus [today] (here on earth) my aim would be to not say, think, or do anything that would need to be corrected by Him. I try to live up to that ideal every day. Living out the gospel of Jesus Christ in truth, is the ultimate act of kindness. We must become masters, of the acts of kindness. [TO GOD BE THE GLORY]: In a world where up seems down and truth seems irrelevant, I find rest in knowing that I’ll be forever with Jesus in the kingdom of God. When I look at where I am today, I can only say to God be the glory. Don’t let your mind wander to far here, because I know the truth about me. I openly confess to being a sinner, but I have been saved by grace. Outside of being saved according to the Scriptures, there is no escape from the penalty of sin. I’ll take [full] responsibility for my wrong doings, but don’t expect me to conform to the ways of this world. People have a tendency of “misquoting” things being said these days, so I’ll not give them any opportunity to do so. Their view of my conscience, doesn’t take precedence. It’s the gospel of Jesus Christ, as laid out for us in the Bible, or bust, for me. There should be no competition among believers, or non-believers for that matter, its God’s way or in the wrong way. [MY PRAYER]: My prayer today is, “That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him.” Ephesians 1:17 (NKJV) If your first thought after reading this was only a fool would believe such a thing, or if you for some reason reject Jesus altogether, don’t abandon the possibility of this prayer being meant just for you. [THE NUMBERS]: Total Post: 1211-Available Post to Read 643-Page Views: 102262. The top 19 countries coming onto this blog (which is all I get to see). Evil

[Evil] says “has God really said…” [Evil] demands justice without realizing it’s the problem. [Evil] looks to silence others forcibly, while claiming free speech. [Evil] goes to great lengths to justify what hatred creates. [Evil] is saying something isn’t, when it is. [Evil] is hurtful, the worst it can be. [Evil] is unimaginable horror. [Evil] offers no forgiveness.

Whoever Believes In Jesus

Those that don’t trust the Bible as is, have a different idea of who Jesus is. The Bible is sufficient for salvation, so don’t supplant what Jesus accomplished in the first century. Two people, one that believed in Jesus just prior to them taking their last breathe here on earth and the other believing in Christ Jesus for ten years, are both saved according to the Scriptures. There is no need to offer a different perspective. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16 (NKJV) God made the salvation message simple. Don’t let anyone or anything cause you to doubt your salvation.

The Way To Salvation

I determined, not to search for salvation through the Anthanasian Creed. I’d be making the word of God of no effect, if I was to impart, unless one believes “the Son is God” one cannot be saved. The Anthanasian Creed is [unquestionably] far-reaching on one account, that there’s no salvation outside the Anthanasian Creed. You can be thankful that Jesus died on a cross for the sin of the world, it paved the way to salvation.

Key Words

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort.” 2 Corinthians 1:3 (NKJV) Key words are, “the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.” “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.” 1 Peter 1:3 (NKJV) Key words are, “the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.” (Apostle John is speaking of Jesus here) “And has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.” Revelation 1:6 (NKJV) Key words are, “has made us kings and priests to His God and Father.” I have a hard time believing that Paul, Peter, or John, didn’t want people to read their writings, let alone to not see that Jesus’ God and Father and their God and Father are one and the same in them. After reading these three verses, would you find it hard to believe?

Be Watchful In All Things

“Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all long-suffering and teaching. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.” 2 Timothy 4:2-5 (NKJV) Let your life and wisdoms, be an expression of your love for Jesus. Be watchful in all things!!

Staying Faithful To God

We should not fixate on the regrets of the past or think to highly of ourselves. These both result in living outside the will of God. The importance of staying faithful to God and steering people towards the Biblical Jesus, are one and the same. Just as Jesus is the centerpiece of God’s plan of salvation, He must be the centerpiece of our daily life as well.

The Bible Makes Sense

The Bible makes sense, so don’t look for another source. When you trust those teaching false doctrines however, expect to be controlled by them. Jesus spoke these words found in John 14:25-26 (NKJV), “These things I have spoken to you while being present with you. But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.” I’m all right with being reminded, as long as it turns me toward Jesus’ teachings. “And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” John 8:32 (NKJV)

Let's Cancel Disbelief In The Bible

Let’s cancel disbelief in the Bible, and give devotion to it. The Bible is a story of redemption, and nothing will ever replace it. “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23 (NKJV) We’ll never be sinless on this side of heaven but the sin that keeps us out of heaven, is exonerated when we choose to believe in Jesus. Nothing could be more important, from one day to the next, than to trust Jesus. Nothing but confidence in Christ Jesus, could get me thru a time such as this.

I Say

I say turning ones back to what Jesus accomplished in the first century, God’s plan of salvation, is the greatest mistake one could make. The second is, adding to or subtracting from what has been clearly laid out for us in the Bible. What would you say is the greatest mistake one could make?

Continually Believing Jesus Is The Son Of God

There are plenty of reasons to be saddened these days but as for me, I refuse to let mere mortals dictate who I am in Christ. Jesus made it possible for me to be forgiven of all my sins. My refusal to accept the teachings of those not mentioned in the Bible, specifically those lifting up the Anthanasian Creed, won’t keep me from [continually] believing Jesus is the Son of God.

Thankfully

If salvation is set up by means of the Anthanasian Creed, then catalog the Bible as false doctrine. Thankfully, I’m happy to say, the Bible is trustworthy as is, and the Anthanasian Creeds method of salvation is not. I find it disconcerting however when the one advising us to stay clear of false doctrines, also teaches unless one believes “the Son is God” they cannot be saved. Not that I’m questioning their salvation, because these teachers just might confess that Jesus is the Son of God, thus being saved according to the Scriptures. It’s that nothing has caused more people to turn away from Biblical truths to false teachings, than the Anthanasian Creed.

The High Priest Of All False Doctrines

When it comes to the entirety of Anthanasian Creed, there’s nothing ambiguous about it. The ending sentence of it states: “This is the catholic (Christian) faith; which except you believe faithfully and firmly, you cannot be saved.” As you can see according to this “you cannot be saved,” being disloyal and without conviction to the Anthanasian Creed. The New Testament was documented in the first century while the earliest date given to the Anthanasian Creed, is 325-AD. I will continue pointing people to the Bible, specifically what Jesus accomplished in the first century. Confessing to being wrong isn’t a sin, we’re to learn from our past mistakes. I’m not worried one bit, because the word of God endures forever, and the Anthanasian Creed is the high priest of all false doctrines.

Confronted With The Truth

There is no debate, when it comes to how one treats the Bible. They’ll either leave it well enough alone as is, or they won’t. The person investing their time and money into what they believe to be a truth will find it difficult to accept the possibility of it being wrong. Pride, is not the friend of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Biblical teachers should be willing to turn from what they thought was true, when they’re confronted with the truth. Teaching Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, will always be the truth.

It Will Always Be True

The Anthanasian Creed may be widely known but one thing is for sure, it doesn’t align with Jesus’ teachings. I’m not calling anyone a liar here, unambiguously referring to followers of the Anthanasian Creed, I’m just not going to make Jesus out to be one. Is it true, that Jesus’ God and Father and your God and Father are one and the same? If you’re born again (John 3:7), saved according to the Scriptures, it is true. Jesus said to her, “Do not cling to Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father; but go to My brethren and say to them, ‘I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.’” John 20:17 (NKJV) For those believing in [trusting] Jesus, you can be assured for you it will always be true.

So Important

If everybody’s salvation hinged on the Anthanasian Creed, then there is no salvation. It is so important that we believe in [trust], Jesus.

The Second Person Of The Trinity?

This message speaks to what one must believe in order to be saved according to the Scriptures. As you read, don’t let your mind wander to anything beyond that. According to the Anthanasian Creed, “So the Father is God, the Son is God, and the Holy Ghost is God. And yet they are not three Gods, but one God.” “And in this Trinity none is before or after other; none is greater or less than another; But the whole persons are coeternal together, and coequal:” When you hear someone say “the second person of the [Trinity],” they’re actually referring the Anthanasian Creeds “[the Son is God].” These words “[the Son is God]” and “[Trinity]” are not found in the Bible. It’s a message that has been given to us, via the Anthanasian Creed. Let’s cut to the chase: there’s no evidence of anyone having to believe “[the Son is God]” to be saved, outside the Anthanasian Creed, at all. Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves Him who begot also loves him who is begotten of Him. By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome. For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God? 1 John 5:1-5 (NKJV) You can’t separate Jesus from God’s plan of salvation, let alone add to or subtract from what Jesus accomplished in the first century. “[Jesus is the Christ],” Messiah, “[the Son of God].” You can separate yourself from “the second person of the [Trinity]” and the “[Trinity]” itself because they are based solely on a false doctrine. All you need to know is “[Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?]”

Believers Are Better Off

I’ve sent this question to [being on the safe side], at least 30 pastors and biblical teachers. If I gave you the names of those that I have sent it to over a period of four years, you’d recognize the majority of them. To date I’ve only received one [direct] answer to it “Yes, and no,” which really isn’t an answer at all. Here’s my question: Would you say the person confessing Jesus is the Son of God, the Lord and the Savior of their life, saved according to the [Scriptures], and rejects the Anthanasian Creed altogether, is saved? When I say “rejects the Anthanasian Creed altogether” I mean, treat the Anthanasian Creed as if it never existed at all. As one who loves Jesus, and who’s not ashamed to tell others about Him, I would say the person is saved. If the one confessing Jesus is the Son of God cannot say the person is saved, what’s keeping them from doing so? In a nutshell, the Anthanasian Creeds [man made] false method of salvation supersedes what Jesus accomplished in the first century. Jesus came into this world to save sinners and those confessing Jesus is the Son of God are better off not defending the Anthanasian Creed.

Not What I Think

When it comes to people discussing the Bible, I’m not awe-struck by the many different meanings a single word can have in the Greek language, or any other language for that matter. I’m interested in where one stands with Jesus today, just shy of two thousand years after Jesus’ death burial and resurrection. As much as incorrect teachings defend “the Son is God,” because the word of God doesn’t endorse the Anthanasian Creeds [lone] way to salvation, salvation and believing in Jesus according to the Scriptures go hand-in-hand. I can tell others about how I came to believe Jesus is the Son of God, and not stray one iota from what has been clearly laid out for us in the Bible. Not what I think it says, or someone else’s interpretation of it, but what is written. Jesus said to her, “Do not cling to Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father; but go to My brethren and say to them, ‘I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.’” John 20:17 (NKJV). In any language John 20:17, would have Jesus’ God and Father and my God and Father being one and the same. Jesus said, “I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.” It would be no different today, when you believe that Jesus is the Son of God. Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God? 1 John 5:5 (NKJV)

Utter Nonsense

“You are of your father the devil, and the desire of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.” John 8:44 (NKJV) While listening to the local “Christian” radio station I heard, “Satan tells 99 truths so that when he tells the lie you’ll believe it.” Satan “does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him.” Satan “is a liar and the father of it.” “Satan tells 99 truths so that when he tells the lie you’ll believe it” is utter nonsense.

Don't Tie Them To The Biblical Jesus

Jesus said to her, “Do not cling to Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father; but go to My brethren and say to them, ‘I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.’” John 20:17 (NKJV) How do we know that the Anthanasian Creeds “the Son is God” is not dependable? Do not be deceived, believing it is. “I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.” Jesus knew His God and Father and His brethren’s God and Father are one and the same. Saying, “the Son is God” doesn’t agree with what Jesus spoke in the first century. I will also align myself with Jesus and call Jesus’ God and Father my God and Father as well. What Jesus spoke in the first century is no less relevant to me, today. Any effort to dilute what Jesus spoke in the first century will fail, because it can’t be done. Words lifting up the Anthanasian Creeds “the Son is God,” doesn’t tie them to the Biblical Jesus. You won’t find, unless one believes “the Son is God” one “cannot be saved” in the Bible. “The Son is God,” solely belongs to the Anthanasian Creed. Whether you believe the Anthanasian Creed or not, I cannot sanction its false method of salvation. I will always keep “the Son is God” as far away from the Biblical Jesus, because I love Jesus’ teachings, as the east is from the west. The Bible is trustworthy as is and Jesus saying His God and Father and His brethren’s God and Father are one and the same is available for all to see, in John 20:17.

It Safeguards Us From False Doctrines

Two people believe Jesus is the Son of God and everything is fine until one of them says to the other, unless you believe “the Son is God” “you cannot be saved.” It’s Sunday. A man enters the local church. He’s in town on business and hasn’t been seen inside a church for over fifty years, except for weddings and funerals. If you kew this man you’d say, he’s not interested in hearing about the [Bible]. He’s greeted by many, but remains a stranger to them. The message he heard that day was taken straight from the [Bible], believe in Jesus Christ and you will be saved. Unbeknownst to those present that day the man wasn’t saved when he entered the church. Praise God, before the entire congregation, the man confessed to being a sinner, thanked Jesus for dying on a cross for him, and now believes in Jesus Christ. If I was present that day, I’d say this man is saved. After church the man was invited to lunch, an opportunity to celebrate the moment. During this time he mentioned that he was in town for another week, and would like to get together again. “There’s a [Bible] study on Wednesday night,” they said. With great joy, he accepts the invitation. It’s Wednesday. For the first time this born again believer in Jesus Christ heard, unless one believes the doctrine of the “Trinity” they cannot be saved. Confused, the man says, “Am I saved? Sunday’s message opened my eyes as to who Jesus is, what He did for me. It changed my life. All I want to do now is tell people about Jesus. What is this doctrine of the trinity?” The last sentence of the Anthanasian Creed reads like this, “This is the catholic (Christian) faith; which except you believe faithfully and firmly, you cannot be saved.” When you say, unless one believes “the Son is God” [the doctrine of the trinity] one “cannot be saved,” you’re safeguarding the high priest of all false doctrines. Nothing has caused more people to turn away from Biblical truths to false teachings, than the Anthanasian Creed. If you should find yourself doubting your salvation, because something threatening your position in Christ has crossed your path, stand on Scripture alone. Believers in Christ Jesus aren’t subject to the cares of this world, things contradicting God’s plan of salvation. When you believe in the purpose for Jesus’ shed blood on a cross [death], that He is risen indeed [resurrection], that is God’s plan of salvation in nutshell, and it safeguards us from false doctrines. Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God? 1 John 5:5 (NKJV)

Pick One

Jesus’ name has been mishandled in so many ways, since the last entry of the New Testament was penned. In general, books, doctrines, creeds and conversations, just to name a few, in which can be found man’s impression of who Jesus is. Thus demonstrating that the mere mentioning of Jesus’ name doesn’t guarantee everything being said about Him is true. The Anthanasian Creed goes beyond suggesting “the Son is God,” it affirms that one’s salvation is subject to believing “the Son is God.” The question becomes, since 325-AD, is there Biblical evidence of the Son of God Jesus and the Anthanasian Creeds “the Son is God” being one and the same. John 20:17, Romans 15:6, 2 Corinthians 1:3, 2 Corinthians 11:31, Ephesians 1:17, Colossians 1:3, 1 Peter 1:3, Revelation 1:6, Revelation 3:12, or Matthew 27:46 (NKJV), pick one of these to read. I would say it is clear from these verses that Jesus’ God is God. Taking it one step further, because the Bible is trustworthy as is, it proves the Son of God is all you need to believe in. I’m prepared to handle whatever may come my way, when pointing out the mishandling of Jesus' name. For those confessing Jesus is the Son of God, that is saved according to the Scriptures, I’ll reinforce how pointless the Anthanasian Creeds system really is.

They Are Saved

The Bible is clear concerning the matter, there’s no such thing as a hell bound believer in Christ Jesus. With its additions to what Jesus accomplished in the first century however, the Anthanasian Creed [clearly] tells a different story. According to the Anthanasian Creed, there’s every reason to believe that, the individual who believes Jesus is the Son of God isn’t saved at all. It tells us this born again believer in Christ Jesus “he shall perish everlastingly,” is hell bound. Unless he believes “the Son is God,” he “cannot be saved.” It is obvious, the one believing Jesus is the Son of God is saved according to the Scriptures. Trying to attach the Anthanasian Creeds “he shall perish everlastingly,” to those believing Jesus is the Son of God is not going to change their salvation status. They are saved.

Friday, September 3, 2021

Scripturally Speaking

Salvation is not what we conjure up. Scripturally speaking, you’ll find that nothing works when the Anthanasian Creed is tied to one’s salvation. Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God? 1 John 5:5 (NKJV) We can’t be more right with the all-knowing God of the Bible, than when we first believed Jesus is the Son of God.

Timeless

There’s no need to get entangled in drawn-out conversations over the validity of the Anthanasian Creed. At the core of the Anthanasian Creed, we are told that if not for the Anthanasian Creed, no one could be saved. If that’s the case, who needs the Bible? In every story told or written since 325-AD, that lifts up the Anthanasian Creed, you won’t find anyone warning you of how it [actually] added onto what Jesus accomplished in the first century. It is impossible to brand the Anthanasian Creeds method of salvation as dependable, because there’s no evidence of anyone having to believe “the Son is God” to be saved in the Bible. In spite of that, the Anthanasian Creed still made its way into the twenty first century. I ask you, would you say the person confessing Jesus is the Son of God, the Lord and the Savior of their life, saved according to the [Scriptures], and rejects the Anthanasian Creed altogether, is saved? When I say “rejects the Anthanasian Creed altogether” I mean, treat the Anthanasian Creed as if it never existed at all. As one who loves Jesus, and who’s not ashamed to tell others about Him, I would say the person is saved. Nothing could be [more] right than telling others about Jesus as laid out for us in the Bible. The word of God endures forever and what it tells us about Jesus, is timeless.

Salvation Is Not About The Anthanasian Creed

I’ll never take up man’s additions to the Bible, to be God’s plan of salvation. The Anthanasian Creeds, unless one believes “the Son is God” one cannot be saved, for one. The Anthanasian Creeds method might be acceptable for some (here on earth) but when all is said and done, it’ll clash with what one must believe in order to be saved according to the Scriptures. Never lose sight of this [most important] piece of God’s plan of salvation, Jesus is the Son of God. Salvation is not about the Anthanasian Creed.

A Case For One God, The Father

For even if there are so-called gods, whether in heaven or on earth (as there are many gods and many lords), yet for us there is one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we for Him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and through whom we live. 1 Corinthians 8:5-6 (NKJV) “And has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.” Revelation 1:6 (NKJV) In Revelation 1:6 the writer John is referring to believers in Christ Jesus, saying, Jesus “has made us kings and priests to His God and Father.” I would say this proves that Jesus is the Son of God and Anthanasian Creeds “the Son is God” shouldn’t have made its way into the twenty first century. Would you? “Yet for us there is one God, the Father,” refers to Jesus’ God and Father. Jesus “has made us kings and priests to His God and Father.” “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.” 1 Peter 1:3 (NKJV)

As The Father Has Told Me

“He who rejects Me, and does not receive My words, has that which judges him—the word that I have spoken will judge him in the last day. For I have not spoken on My own authority; but the Father who sent Me gave Me a command, what I should say and what I should speak. And I know that His command is everlasting life. Therefore, whatever I speak, just as the Father has told Me, so I speak.” John 12:48-50 (NKJV) The Anthanasian Creed states, “So the Father is God, the Son is God, and the Holy Ghost is God. And yet they are not three Gods, but one God.” According to the last sentence of that same creed, “This is the catholic (Christian) faith; which except you believe faithfully and firmly, you cannot be saved.” It will always be easy to say “the Son is God” but [Biblically] impossible to prove that. According to the Anthanasian Creed unless you believe “the Son is God,” “you cannot be saved.” The Anthanasian Creeds proposal (addition to God’s plan of salvation) didn’t work in 325-AD, and nothing has changed since. When it comes to what one must believe in order to be saved according to the Scriptures, “just as the Father has told Me, so I speak,” Jesus’ words make all the difference. We can easily identify the source of them, the all-knowing God of the Bible. I highly recommend concentrating on what Jesus accomplished in the first century, as laid out for us in the Bible, rather than on the creeds and the doctrines of men. Leading one to the Biblical Jesus becomes the easiest thing to do, because the Bible is trustworthy as is. Unlike the creeds and the doctrines of men, I see every reason to look after the Bible. Every day is a test of my faith but there’s one thing I’m not concerned about, the Anthanasian Creed becoming sound doctrine.

Being Educated About Jesus

While listening to the local “Christian” radio station I heard about “a Bible education,” and “a Seminary education.” According to the speaker on the radio “a Bible education,” is reading the Bible and believing it’s trustworthy as is. “A Seminary education” relies on those not mentioned in the Bible, in order to form sound doctrine. I can’t imagine distributing the contents of a creed, something written after the last entry of the New Testament, and calling it “a Bible education.” I believe the Bible is trustworthy as is. I’m not interested in creeds, let alone the doctrines of men. When it comes to my salvation, they just don’t matter. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16 (NKJV) I believe “whoever believes in” Jesus, according to the Scriptures, “should not perish but have everlasting life.”

The Bible, Or The Anthanasian Creed?

The Bible is trustworthy as is. It tells us that Jesus is the Son of God and whoever believes in Him will be saved, and yet the Anthanasian Creed came along to say that unless one believes “the Son is God,” “you cannot be saved.” Sadly, many have taken this as truth. This makes the Bible subject to the Anthanasian Creed. I’ve sent this question to many. Where does the blame lie for believing this person is not saved according to the Scriptures? The Bible, or the Anthanasian Creed? Who’s answerable for one having to believe “the Son is God” to be saved? The Bible, or those responsible for the Anthanasian Creed making its way into the twenty first century? As always with me, I don’t blame any person past or present. The Anthanasian Creed is the problem.

Telling Others About Jesus

I wouldn’t be so quick to call anyone a heretic if they don’t agree with your understanding of who Jesus is. Don’t let your mind wander here, because no one has called me a heretic. For me, telling others about Jesus, as laid out for us in the Bible, is the safe thing to do. I would highly recommend, especially to those believing/confessing Jesus is the Son of God, don’t lean on anyone’s understanding of who Jesus is, let alone your own. The Bible is trustworthy as is. The one believing/confessing Jesus is the Son of God cannot be anymore saved according to the Scriptures, than when they [first] believed Jesus is the Son of God. Calling this individual a heretic, for not endorsing “the Son is God,” is putting the Anthanasian Creed before the Bible. I wouldn’t be so quick to call it the safe thing to do, because “the Son is God” has the fingerprints of men all over it.

I'm Glad For Those Believing Jesus Is The Son Of God

In any discussion I find myself in, no matter what the ending may be, I’m glad for those believing Jesus is the Son of God. When I watch “Christian” programming on the television, because I’m only interested in what’s being said about Jesus and not in who’s saying it, it’s as if I’m listening to the local “Christian” radio station. Whether I can see the individual talking about Jesus, or not, I’m glad for those believing Jesus is the Son of God.

The Doctrines Of Men?

Some have been [falsely] led to believe that they have to go through the doctrines of men, to appreciate who Jesus is. In reality they depreciate what the Bible reveals to us about what Jesus accomplished in the first century. The way I see the doctrines of men, they cannot hold a candle to the truth in the Bible, and thus I have no interest in them. Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. 1 John 4:15 (NKJV) As one who confesses Jesus is the Son of God, I say, the doctrines of men are senseless.

In Truth

Preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ in truth, is essential. “Jesus said…I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God” in John 20:17 (NKJV). Preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ in truth, is to say, the all-knowing God of the Bible is Jesus’ God and Father. I’m at ease with telling others it’s so, because I love reading what “Jesus said” in the Bible. Forgetting the events concerning the dispute over the validity of Anthanasian Creed in 325-AD, because I judge the Anthanasian Creed by itself, I find, in truth, it never should have made its way into the twenty first century. There is no dispute over whether or not Jesus is calling the all-knowing God of the Bible “My God,” His God, in John 20:17. He is. “Jesus said…I am ascending to My Father, and to My God.” The Anthanasian Creed, is unessential.

The Sureness Of Biblical Truths

If you’re interested in what the Bible has to say, be eager to accept it as trustworthy exactly as it is. As you gain the sureness of Biblical truths, the doctrines of men will weaken.

Jesus Is The Son Of God

Believing Jesus is the Son of God, I know my salvation is secured in Christ Jesus. I’m certainly not going to steer others into having to believe something different concerning their own salvation. Ant attempt to steer me towards having faith in the Anthanasian Creed however, is an absolute waste of time. Having to believe [or else] “the Son is God” to be saved, is an addition to what has been [clearly] laid out for us in the Bible, and should never be the main thing. Don’t mistake me for one speaking against followers of the Anthanasian Creed here, because nothing could be further from the truth. I could never feel bitter towards them, or anyone else [guilty] of tampering with the Bible. The Anthanasian Creed, is the problem here. I understand forgiveness, which points to everything Jesus accomplished in the first century. Do you have any reason to believe that someone who believes Jesus is the Son of God, isn’t saved according to the Scriptures? I don’t.

Not Everything

Recently I heard “Jesus has always known everything.” The Bible says differently “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.” Mark 13:32 (NKJV) Consider the person, just prior to them taking their last breathe here on earth, calling on Jesus’ name to [salvation] save them. Would you say this individual’s salvation is in jeopardy, for not knowing whether or not Jesus “has always known everything”? As one who loves Jesus, and who’s not ashamed to tell others about Him, I would say this individual is saved. For the record in Mark 13:32 “nor the Son,” is where Jesus admits to not knowing “that day and hour.” In other words, not everything.

Roots

Recently I heard “the trinity is rooted in the New Testament.” If you lead someone to believe the doctrine of the trinity, it’s rooted in the Anthanasian Creed. The Anthanasian Creeds having to believe [or else] “the Son is God” to be saved, the doctrine of the trinity in a nutshell, doesn’t align with Jesus’ teachings. Jesus said to her, “Do not cling to Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father; but go to My brethren and say to them, ‘I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.’” John 20:17 (NKJV) Nothing has caused more people to turn from this [on its own] absolute truth, that Jesus’ God and Father and His brethren’s God and Father are one and the same, than the Anthanasian Creed.

Its Worth Repeating

Don’t be preoccupied with the events that occurred in 325-AD, regarding the doctrine of the trinity. You won’t find anyone mentioned in the Bible, giving an eyewitness account of any of these events. The Bible has the final say when it comes to what one [must] believe in order to be saved according to the Scriptures. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16 (NKJV) Jesus is the Son of God and its worth repeating “whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” The Anthanasian Creed is the high priest of all false doctrines, and it doesn’t matter what time period [origin] its followers claim it was written.

A Place For You

“And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.” John 14:3 (NKJV) I understand more about Jesus preparing a place for me, which I can’t see, than what I can see in the flesh. Everything I need to know about my salvation, is available for all to see in the Bible. The Anthanasian Creed, with its add-ons to what Jesus accomplished in the first century, shouldn’t have made its way into the twenty first century.

Think Again

“He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he shall go out no more. I will write on him the name of My God and the city of My God, the New Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God. And I will write on him My new name.” Revelation 3:12 (NKJV) If you think the Anthanasian Creeds “the Son is God” and the Biblical Jesus are one and the same, think again. You’re not seeing that it’s Jesus calling the all-knowing God of the Bible, four times in Revelation 3:12, “My God,” His God.

Don't Be Mistaken

If you think that having to believe “the Son is God” is the measure of one’s salvation, which is [exactly] what the Anthanasian Creed states, you’d be greatly mistaken. The fact of the matter is, you’d be making a horrible mistake believing such a thing, because there’s no place in the Bible where it says “the Son is God,” let alone having to believe it to be saved. In a world bent on silencing Biblical truths, here’s two of them you can count on. Whoever believes that Jesus is the Son of God will be saved, and Satan is defeated.

New Children's Book

Even though my new children’s book What You See At The Park isn’t about Jesus, it is an extension of my love for Him. I am humbled to announce that it was published this week. With the pandemic, my heart went out to those kids facing anxiety and that eventually led to the writing of this book. I hope you will click on the cover of the book for more information.

The Son is God Can Easily Be Traced Back To The Anthanasian Creed

If you’re not hearing the Anthanasian Creed the right way, that it really does add onto what Jesus accomplished in the first century, you just might communicate it as the only way to salvation. Make no mistake about it, saying unless one believes “the Son is God” one cannot be saved leaves what has been clearly laid out for us in the Bible, God’s plan of salvation, subject to the Anthanasian Creed. The words “the Son is God” aren’t in the Bible, let alone anyone having to believe Jesus is God to be saved. Be careful with the words you choose to use, especially when it refers to the Biblical Jesus. Jesus is the Son of God and the Bible gives every reason to believe, “Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?” 1 John 5:5 (NKJV) Anyone can make the slip of the pen by writing “the Son is God” instead of “the Son of God,” but writing or saying “the Son is God” can easily be traced back to the Anthanasian Creed. Avoid having to defend additions made to God’s plan of salvation, treat the Anthanasian Creed as if it never exists at all.

The Moment You Believe Jesus Is The Son Of God

Recently I heard that “We need longtime believers to show new believers the way.” I am absolutely convinced that the moment one believes Jesus is the Son of God, they’re saved according to the Scriptures. If helping new believers in the Biblical Jesus to grow spiritually, leaves them with having to believe [or else] “the Son is God” to be saved, they have been diverted from what has been clearly laid out for us in the Bible. Jesus is the Son of God. Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. 1 John 4:15 (NKJV) Jesus said to her, “Do not cling to Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father; but go to My brethren and say to them, ‘I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.’” John 20:17 (NKJV) After reading John 20:17, how would you treat the one believing Jesus is the Son of God and that Jesus’ God and Father and their God and Father are one and the same? It’s simple. We’re to look no further than the Bible, for what has been clearly laid out for us in it. Don’t allow [anyone] using what solely belongs to the Anthanasian Creed, “the Son is God,” to take from you your assurance of salvation. Your God and Father will be the same as Jesus’ God and Father, the moment you believe Jesus is the Son of God.

There are two sides to every story. For every truth there is a non-truth. For example, when someone says to me “unless one believes [the Son is God] one cannot be saved,” I recognize this as a non-truth as that person has not spoken the word of God to me. There’s only one way to measure one’s salvation, by using the truth as laid out for us in the Bible. As one who believes Jesus is the Son of God, and not ashamed to tell others it’s so, I’m certain that I don’t have to believe in the Anthanasian Creeds “the Son is God” for my salvation.

I want to state this as clearly as possible. There is no place in the Bible where Jesus says, “I am God.” And truly Jesus did many other signs in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in this book; but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name. John 20:30-31 (NKJV)

For He whom God has sent speaks the words of God, for God does not give the Spirit by measure. The Father loves the Son, and has given all things into His hand. He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him. John 3:34-36 (NKJV) If you’re really interested in what one has to believe in order to be saved according to the Scriptures, adhere to what has been clearly laid out for us in the Bible. False teachers are connoisseurs at adding things onto what the Bible actually says. It’s simple. If you can’t find in the Bible, anyone having to believe it to be saved, “the Son is God” for example, don’t think we have to believe it to be saved today. “He who believes in the Son,” Jesus, “has everlasting life” that is saved according to the Scriptures.

The Bible will always be questioned, because what Jesus accomplished in the first century isn’t believed by all. The doctrine of the trinity for example declares, unless one believes “the Son is God” one “cannot be saved.” According to John 20:17 which tells the story God’s way, Jesus said to her, “Do not cling to Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father; but go to My brethren and say to them, ‘I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.’” Jesus spoke the truth when He called the God of the Bible “My God,” His God. How does the doctrine of the trinity compare to telling the story God’s way? It does not measure up, because it questions the simplest of Biblical truths, Jesus is the Son of God. Why anyone would attach themselves to the doctrine of the trinity in the first place, especially those believing that Jesus is the Son of God, is unimaginable.

How is it that the doctrines of men are taught as factual, when the Bible is definitive? The all-knowing God of the Bible doesn’t need man’s help, for the understanding of the Scriptures. The Bible is trustworthy as is, and should be left well enough alone. Followers of Jesus aren’t perfect, but we are forgiven. For us preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ on one side of the street and a different message on the other, is not an option. We must stay true to the Bible. To allow anything but the gospel of Jesus Christ to teach us, is to live according to the ways of this world which won’t lead to the truth, only to rejection of the gospel of Jesus Christ. It’s great to know you believe and confess Jesus is the Son of God but on the other hand sad, because not everyone believes what Jesus accomplished in the first century. Let’s begin this New Year, keeping the Bible first before all things and keeping the doctrines of men as far away, as possible.
