Tis the season to take a closer look as to how we’re to
treat “Christmas,” in the coming years. As
you know while driving in my car, I listen to the local “Christian” radio
station. When I left to get coffee this
morning, I knew there was more than a 50/50 chance that I would hear
about how “Christmas” has lost its true meaning. Sure enough, the moment I started the car, that’s
exactly what two individuals were discussing on the radio. My first thought was, John the Dunker “Baptist”
settled the matter. “He” Jesus “must
increase” and “I” followers of Jesus, “must decrease.”
It is my obligation to tell you the more one conforms to the
ways of the world, that which is against God, “I” increases and Jesus decreases. Camp fire stories become reality and absolute
truths, questionable at best. We need to
get back to the truth. Telling people that
we don’t know the actual day of Jesus’ birth is a beginning. Telling the truth about Jesus is the safest
thing one could do, each and every day of the year.
